Scott Walker deserves a medal

There's been quite a bit of illegal/nonkosher stuff happening from the anti-Walker people. The initial sickouts last winter. Questionable assignments. Using taxpayer-funded email accounts for recall-related messages. Stuff like that.
The sickouts were a defacto illegal wildcat strike....Those teachers should've been fired on the spot.

Is there a recall effort underway to recall New York's governor?

How about Washington state's governor?

Didn't think so.

The Walker issue betrays the sheer hypocrisy of the left.

I didn't know that Wisconsinites had the ability to recall New York's governor.

Ha.

Ha.

New Yorkers are not recalling Cuomo even though he did the same thing Walker did. Washingtonians are not recalling Gregoire even though she did the same thing Walker did.

Here is a perfect medal for him:

lol.gif

Not bad but I was thinking of a concrete block around his neck just before he's dumped into some very VERY deep water.

He made no secret of being bought by the pond scum Koch brothers. That makes him one of the 'best politicians money can buy and he needs to go wait on the unemployment line. I suggest retraining him as a human being and then being forced to actually WORK for a living.

The Koch accusations are full of it.

If anything that phone call he thought he was taking from David Koch showed that he wasn't acquainted with them.

Walker is honorable.

Not saying the Koch's aren't. But Walker is, and the Koch accusations are fabrications.

an excellent point. If he is so well acquainted with the Koch brothers, how the hell did that caller fool him?

Of course, common sense and logic like that are lost on the libtard population.

Scott Walker deserves a medal
.....For trying to kill poor-people??????

:eusa_eh:

I guess I hadn't heard about genocide being....
part o' his platform.

From your source...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) turned down on Thursday a $37 million grant that would have helped to provide health care services for tens of thousands of Wisconsinites, saying he would rather deny his citizens treatment if it means he is resisting the “encroachment of ObamaCare.”

Problem is, he never said that... according to your source...
“Stopping the encroachment of ObamaCare in our state, which has the potential to have a devastating impact on Wisconsin’s economy, is a top priority,” he said in a prepared statement released Thursday. “Wisconsin has been a leader and innovator in health care reform for two decades, and we have achieved a high level of health insurance coverage without federal mandates.”

You, and your source, are full of shit.

A short paper released Wednesday by Professor Andrew Reschovsky, an economist at UW-Madison's La Follette Institute, explains that a conservative estimate of the structural deficit in Wisconsin’s next biennium is $3.1 billion

Wisconsin Budget Project: Economist Estimates Two-year $3.1 Billion Wisconsin Deficit

Professor Reschovsky is a well known leftist who specializes in providing economic justifications for the left-wing agenda.

What is the basis for your belief that we will still have a deficit at the end of this biennium?

You are using a document from 2010?

Well, thank you for showing what Walker faced when he took office. After he took office, he determined that the deficit was closer to $3.6 billion.

That figure (3.1 billion or 3.6 billion, your choice) is why he had to take strong measures. Well, I guess he didn't have to take as strong of measures as he did. He could have kicked the can down the road the way our last governor did. But Walker went for an actual structural fix. And now we're looking forward to a $300 million surplus.

Instead of kicking the can down the road, he decided to blame teachers.

Kinda like how Nero blamed the burning of Rome on the Catholics.

And now he's getting recalled because of it.

... for solving Wisconsin's structural deficit problem, and for fending off the slings and arrows of people who want us to go back to where we were before he took office.

Kudos to Governor Walker!

He didn't solve their deficit problem. Wisconsin had a deficit this year and will have one next year.
Wrong, yet again.

Wisco does biennial budgets and will, barring total disaster, have a small surplus this year and an even larger one next year.

How can a biennial budget have a surplus this year and a surplus the next year - or, for that matter, how, can a biennial budget have anything one year, and anything the next year? Would seem to me a biennial budget could have either one thing last year and another thing the year after this one, or one thing this year, and another thing two years from now, but not something this year, and something in the year immediately following.

Here's a thought - maybe they should start doing annual budgets? Either party - Democrat or Republican - can surely get away with fucking up a budget more easily if it only has to stand scrutiny every two years.

Walker’s Vindication
The controversial Wisconsin budget reform saves teachers’ jobs.
“We laid off 27 [teachers] as a precautionary measure,” Koczela told me. “They were crying. Some of these people are my friends.”

On June 29 at 12:01 a.m., Koczela could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The budget repair bill—delayed for months by protests, runaway state senators, and a legal challenge that made its way to the state’s supreme court—was law. The 27 teachers on the chopping block were spared.

With “collective bargaining rights” limited to wages, Koczela was able to change the teachers’ benefits package to fill the budget gap. Requiring teachers to contribute 5.8 percent of their salary toward pensions saved $600,000. Changes to their health care plan—such as a $10 office visit co-pay (up from nothing)—saved $200,000. Upping the workload from five classes, a study hall, and two prep periods to six classes and two prep periods saved another $200,000. The budget was balanced.

But as the abstract debate over collective bargaining collides with reality, it is becoming clear just how big a lie the Big Labor line was. Now that the law is in effect, where are the horror stories of massive layoffs and schools shutting down? They don’t exist—except in a couple of districts where collective bargaining agreements, inked before the budget repair bill was introduced, remain in effect.

Given the choice between fewer benefits and layoffs, the Milwaukee teachers’ union chose the latter. In 2010, 482 teachers, including Megan Sampson, a young educator named an “outstanding first year teacher” by the Wisconsin Council of Teachers of English, got the axe. CNN reports that this year “Milwaukee teachers are offering meals and moral support to 354 fellow educators who will be laid off.” Meals and moral support? The union’s got your back. A job? Not so much.

essentially, all they Walker haters can go fuck themselves. they were wrong.

Well it looks like the Republicans think they know whats good for teachers better than teachers do.

Hey, the man tried. If the People of Wisconsin want to turn their State back over to the corrupt Democrat Dummies, than so be it i guess. They'll get what they deserve. I truly respect Scott Walker. I wish him well.

Well, it looks like you didn't bother to read anything you just responded to. Typical.

Not gonna happen.

Getting a pile of fraudulent signatures on petitions is vastly different from having to come up with a candidate to oppose Walker....One that will probably be a complete Madtown socialist loco weed.

Yes a jail cell made of metal....

He can't be allowed to continue his policies because they work and that hurts the liberals and unions cause. So they piss and moan and have recall elections. Why can't we have national recall elections? Doesn't make sense.
