Scientists demand obama use RICO act to prosecute global warming deniers.

The RICO investigation would not look into disagreements with the Obama administration. It would look into disagreements with mainstream science. Something like investigating a company making billions selling people copper bracelets on the premise that they cure every ill known to man. Such an action is not in the least political and thus presents no conflict with their public funding.

Defrauding the government by climate alarmists should be high on the list and both the house and senate have now issued supeonas... Whether Obama likes it or not this is going to over shadow COP21 and that is awesome! EVEN George Mason University is now named.. The plot thickens..

just out of curiosity Crick....what do you think about Shukla and his family drawing millions from public funding in what appears to be iffy circumstances? should they be investigated? if found to be in violation of rules, should they have to pay some sort of penalty?

or is this yet another instance of you looking the other way when a lapse of integrity is brought to public scrutiny?

who exactly should be investigated under RICO? anyone who disagrees with 'consensus' climate science? individuals and groups alike?

are Nic Lewis and Steve McIntyre targets? or groups like Heartland who disseminate their work?

how about the exaggerators on the warmist side. if someone claims 2 metres of SLR by 2100, should they be investigated for disagreeing with consensus?

Fortunately for the denier bedwetters here, nobody is threatening to prosecute them for being such piss-guzzling cult morons. It's a free country, and they are free to parrot whatever nonsense their cult leaders told them to parrot. Stupidity is not a crime, a fact that deniers can be very thankful for.

However, if it is documented that a major corporation knows the truth about global warming and chose to deliberately mount a misinformation campaign, that's another story. The same kind of thing was done by the tobacco companies, and they were successfully prosecuted under RICO. There is no right to orchestrate a deliberate sustained misinformation campaign for your own financial gain. That's a conspiracy, and it's not legal.

The really ironic thing is how every single denier on this board wants climate scientists thrown in jail for doing science. That is, without exception, every denier on this board is a proud Stalinist.

Billy is a proud Stalinist.

Frank is a proud Stalinist.

Bear is a proud Stalinist.

Denier Stalinists, I suggest you all move to North Korea, where you'd fit in better.

Ya still never told us this campaign, the tobacco company's had every Bill board in America, had commercials on television, had the NASCAR Winston...etc...etc...

Again where is this campaign?

If they are spending billions of dollars on it they stink at it.

selling copper bracelets is illegal? where?

I cant believe that some one else would think this was a good thing.. I know about 20 Scientists who are not to happy about signing this letter. Now that they are under the microscope for the sources of their funding and it is being publicly shown.. The left wing, hard core, socialist agenda is paying most if not all of them millions..

If this can be done then lets also prosecute the news media for lying about 911.

Scientists Ask Obama To Prosecute Global Warming Skeptics

sep 17 2015 The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.

Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.”

RICO was a law designed to take down organized crime syndicates, but scientists now want it to be used against scientists, activists and organizations that voice their disagreement with the so-called “consensus” on global warming. The scientists repeated claims made by environmentalists that groups, especially those with ties to fossil fuels, have engaged in a misinformation campaign to confuse the public on global warming.

There are many sources of misinformation that the media reports. The crime the media commits is their selection of choices to report.
