Science is a much better investment then using our bloated military for idiiocy all over the world that doesn't even go back into our economy. Hell, for most cases it goes into the country that we're in! Science here at home goes back into our communities...

-Cures diseases
-creates jobs
-Increases the living standard of our communities
-Hell, even makes our military stronger as we're more advanced then our enemy...

We should be increasing science.....Only a complete idiot wouldn't.

Imagine how much real science we could have done for all the money wasted on AGW for the past 20 years.

Once again Matty, you advocate spending other peoples money. How much of your money do you personally "invest" in science?

As an active investor, I RISK a lot of my personal wealth daily. As part of the parasite class, you are only willing to risk the hard earned money of the producer class.

I pay the penalty of failing if I risk in the wrong venture. As a socialist, you risk nothing with other peoples money.

Hope you're able to overcome the hive mentality one day. I'm rooting for you.

Didn't think so.

While I agree with you, the only problem we are now having, is the interaction of the Deep State with the science community.

This is much like during the dark ages when the Church controlled all the science that was being done.

The state controls the common tax pool, but partisan interests, and Deep black projects determine what will be researched, and how the results will be spun and reported.

Your view of reality is entirely wrong. Yet, no matter what I do, no matter what I write, I could never convince you of it, because you are completely convinced that the latest scientific breakthroughs and scientific reality is reported to you. The fact of the matter is though, this is just not the case.

How the laws of the universe operate, and the secrets of applied science are now closely guarded secrets. They are not known to the open market or the general public.

Can you even imagine what would happen to the airline industry and the auto-industry if the government let anti-gravity technology out of the bag?

Can you even imagine what would happen to the petro-dollar and the US's hegemonic place in the world if they let other esoteric energy technologies out of the bag?

No, for you, it is easier to deny that these technologies even exist than to consider the ramifications of this.

It's the same reason there will be no cures to diseases, only treatments. Cures don't make any economic sense.

Name for me a "cure" that has been found in the last two decades. Go on Mr. Science.

There haven't been any, just treatments.

Very deep.

And. . . the breakaway civilization's military is WAY more advanced than any other on earth. It has already been used. You just haven't been aware of it, because you believe it was only natural weather.

The technology the elites have is already making them think they can deal with a nuclear exchange, it is scary stuff.

From the same side of the aisle that calls for prison time for anyone who questions them.
The left hate science.

Why exactly do you think science and the military are an either/or sort of thing, mutually exclusive to each other?

Why do you think military spending doesn't advance science in and of itself?

And why do you think "science" - chuckling a little at your vague, amorphous generalization there - is the proper purview of the federal government, outside of things directly impacting on the job of the federal government, like the military?

I agree completely. And I think the private funding method eliminates a lot of waste and produces better results, because people who are putting their own money on the line are a lot less likely to okay lines of research that don't hold as much promise as others do than someone who has tax money to throw around.
