The sheer number of Americans who are NRA members, which by the way cut across demographic and political lines make Schumer's statement appear on the hysterical.
Groups such as "Code Pink, Occupy Wall Street and neo Nazi white supremacist groups are "extreme".
Of course with people of Schumer's ilk, anyone with a right turn signal on their car is a "right wing extremist". Schumer's credibility comes into question when ever he uses the term "extreme".
