School trip canceled after threat to "sicken children"

A Bucks County school district announced this afternoon that it is canceling a series of elementary-student lunch excursions aboard The Spirit of Philadelphia after the cruise ship's headquarters received a threatening letter about one of the trips.

A statement released by Council Rock School District Supt. Mark Klein said that the ship's corporate owner in Chicago received a letter last month alleging that two parents were intending to "sicken their children, as well as others" during a lunch cruise for sixth-graders.

"The letter alleged the parents would then sue The Spirit of Philadelphia," Klein's statement said.

If it's true it's pretty sick.

thing is, it could be true.

With all the things we have heard done, since at least the 80's, this is not be all that shocking.

These stories really bother me. If true, the parents should be beaten. I'll volunteer.

It happened here in the Philly area.

Turns out it's a true story.

the cops are trying to figure out if it was parents actually planning this, or some kid pulling a prank.

We need a boot camp for people like that. Live in a tent, use an outhouse, get up at 5:00am and then work their A?? off all day and if and only if they do a real good job give them something to eat before they go to bed. They will need the rest to start all over tomorrow.
