"Scary" warming at poles

If we would just give the UN the power to regulate our industries and to tax our paychecks they could stop Global Warming...........OK.... just throwing a bone to the Global Warming Doomsdayers.

Scary warming at poles showing up at weird times, places

"Scientists are seeing surprising melting in Earth's polar regions at times they don't expect, like winter, and in places they don't expect, like eastern Antarctica."

"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Tuesday released its annual Arctic report card, detailing the second warmest year on record in the Arctic and problems, including record low winter sea ice in parts of the region, increased toxic algal blooms, which are normally a warm water phenomenon, and weather changes in the rest of the country attributable to what's happening in the far North.
NOAA reveals Arctic Ocean has lost 95% of its oldest ice
"The Arctic is experiencing the most unprecedented transition in human history," report lead author Emily Osborne, chief of Arctic research for NOAA, said Tuesday."

I thought you guys were telling us how cold it had been up there; how there'd been no loss of ice in 11 years. Everything was hunky dory? What the fuck dudes?

You are trying to teach climate change to people who voted for Trump? I recommend a couple of remedial courses, first, like 6th grade Grammar, and 8th grade Civics.

This calls for a massive carbon tax. :iagree:

It calls for drastic action of all sorts. But, the longer you put it off, the more its going to hurt, the more it is going to cost.

Lol.....because Trump people know that nobody cares about climate change and certainly people who vote. Every election, DUMS who run on climate chage platforms get train wrecked.

You're another banner gazer s0n....like so many progressives. Trump folks dont give a shit about banners.:cul2::cul2::2up:

You cannot argue inaction as a money-saving strategy because it most CERTAINLY WILL NOT. Yours is the paragon of short sighted thinking.

I would suggest if you believe in Man Made Climate Change donate money to whatever government program you think could help. What are governments actually doing with the money they collect from "Carbon Taxes"? How is it helping to reduce Man Made Climate Change?

Since climate changes naturally, and drastically all the time, how can you measure any effect good, or bad?

Why don't you look it up? See "The Physical Science Basis" at www.ipcc.ch.

The climate has not changed as rapidly as it is changing now since the Chicxulub meteor impact, 66 million yeas ago.

Educate us on climate change.

How much must we lower CO2 to stop the climate from ever changing?

wash, rinse, repeat old friend.

Good question. What if we are actually able to lower CO2, what if natural events which happen all the time raise the levels anyway? What would be the response. How do we know it just may be lack of our ability to reduce man made CO2?

As you say. What level of CO2 is acceptable? How are taxes, fees, and artificially higher energy costs going to combat climate change as it changes naturally all the time?

trees and other plants must pay their fair share. ask the leftists.

NOAA never has a good day. They could be up to their asses in snow in Chicago and freezing to death but they will create some doomsday statistic about "warming in eastern Anarctica". How long have we had weather sensing devices in eastern Anarctica? Geological time is measured in eons rather than a couple of years that breathless college kids and professors on grants like to envision. Chances are that the planet is emerging from a geological ice age but the people who are in the business of making money from doomsday scenarios can't enjoy the balmy weather if it killed them.

The trouble is that humans have not been around for "geological time". And humans are what we are concerned about.
