Scalia Rewrites History, Claims 5-4 Bush v. Gore Decision ‘Wasn’t Even Close’

Yeah...but where's your "credible" proof?

Did you read your own article?

"On November 27, Republican Secretary of State Katherine Harris officially certified George W. Bush as the "winner" in Florida by 537 votes."

Bush votes > Gore votes

Katherine Harris? Yes, she did, but there is much more you're leaving out. That is hilarious.

She counted the votes.

Bush had more votes than Gore

Really? Then why did SCOTUS become involved?

Because AL Gore went insane. He conceded, then Soros reached out to him and told him to retract his concession

Sooo, SCOTUS got involved because Al Gore went insane...and conceded? Is that right?

Al Gore retracted his concession

Did you forget that?

No, I didn't forget - but why did he concede in the first place? Then, why did he retract his concession?

2:30 am Gore calls Bush to concede the election.
3:00 am Gore leaves the hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. His motorcade heads to the War Memorial Plaza, where he plans to address supporters.
3:15 am Gore advisers call the vice president to tell him Bush's lead in Florida has diminished dramatically. He returns to his hotel without addressing his supporters. Reports show that less than 1,000 votes separates Bush and Gore in the state of Florida.
3:30 am Gore calls Bush back to retract his concession. Networks retract the projection that Bush wins Florida between 3:57 and 4:15 am. The state reverts to too close to call. The Presidency is once again undecided.

Damn, some Liberals are just so stupid. They think that none of us have memory.

Or are they just so used to the media not only believing their lies and distortions that they think they can get away with it every time?

So what if Soros called Gore - but do you have any "credible" proof that he did?

Who cares? the Supreme Court became involved because the Florida Supreme Court by a 5 to 2 decision violated Federal law on the recounts.

The Supreme Court Ruled 7 to 2... I REPEAT 7 to 2. That the recount must stop and that the ruling the Florida Supreme Court made was wrong. By this time it was to late to let the Florida Courts make a corrected ruling and the illegal recount was stopped by a 5-4 decision.

This is a lie, as yo know that only the only statndard of counting that matters is the legal standard, by which Bush won.

Is been 13 years - get over the butthurt.

Close. It ruled 7-2 that FL election law did not provide equal protection for the voters of FL, at which point the reconts could not continue.

The question then became that of a remedy, which would require a change in the election law so that it would provide equal protection. Election law cannot be changed during the election - and can only be created by the legislature - so it was legally impossible for such astandard to be put in place.

Thus, the recounts had to stop. The end.
