Why don’t we do away with the two party system and only have a Constitutional party of our Republic? The right is to far right, the left is to far left the Independents fan far right and far left. After all do you think we would have a debt as high as it is now if we had people in Washington that cared for the "people"? Today and for many decades we've had a government that only does stuff for their party not for us the people.

Why not revamp Washington give our Government an Enema and go back to basics.
If you’re a politician, you get no pay, you work for the people not for the money..

Do you agree or disagree and why?

WE can only hope, though only by a margin the partisan freaks are still in the majority. Hopefully they will both lose tha majority before the next election.

Because the Right isn't far right and alot of the Left isn't really far left either.
This country is a centrist-right country.

However, there are a lot of people who simply don't like to think or do research on their own, they just swallow whatever bullshit the government hands them. Those people are the ones that are keeping us from moving past the bipartisan control.

I don’t know how anybody could say that the right isn't far right and the left isn't far left when both parties borrow and spend money we don’t have. Our country is virtually bankrupt, and Obama wants to borrow more, and if Bush was in office still he would be borrowing and spending our money as well. Obama wants to force this health care crap down our throats that would bankrupt our country. Hence why I said do away with left and right and get people in office that care for the "people" AKA US

What makes you think the Left and right aren't out of control?

Who do you think "cares for the people"?? The Libtards? They are the most marginal of all marginal parties. They don't care for the people any more than Nancy Pelosi.
Bush wasn't "right"> Bush was a big government Republican in the mold of Nixon.

The right is so extreme and anti American. Can't compare the left to that mess.

This is a right of center country with the MAJORITY near the center. That's why John McCain would have been good for this country. Others may disagree, but he is the type of politician most people claim they would like to see.

retard alert, retard alert.

It isn't just a matter of disagreeing that McCain wouldn't have been good for the country. He is too old, he made a lot of bad decisions and actual mistakes. It would have been an extension of the Bush terms...

Obama was the right choice for America now.

The two party system isn't going away, the people who America feels are incompetent are though.

Too old is a non-criticism. It's what people say when they can't think of anything else.
In fact until the economic crisis broke McCain was gaining in th epolls. I dont doubt that he would have been elected.
But econ is his worst area and he sounded like Obama-lite in the campaign.
I'm glad he lost only because it gives the GOP time out of power to consider what they need to be pushing. And McCain wasn't it.

He made mistakes speaking about the war, about Obama, his entire campaign was lame. Sarah Palin was saying all kinds of racist and ignorant things about Obama.

It was a failed campaign. They weren't coming back, it wasn't close. He won an electoral landslide.

You are wrong. McCain lost big. Palin played a big part in that loss. Their campaign smears and hate were unprecidented...

When humans stop acting like selfish nitwits perhaps that idea can work.

But when humans stop being selfish nitwits EVERY SYSTEM will work.

And when will that happen?

Never.

He was absolutely correct about the war in IRaq, Obama was absolutely wrong. His only mistake about Obama was not going after him hard enough on his lack of substance.
It was not a landslide on any measure, except that of hard core Obamanuts.
There was no hate, except by the Left against Palin, which hasn't abated any.

Are you serious? So all of the calls from the right, claiming Obama was a Mulsim, a terrorist, a ******, etc was NOT hate?

They used to have a one party system just like that in the USSR

Do you remember the McCain speech in Iraq where Lindsay Graham and Lieberman had to remind him of his facts? They walked up to him in the middle of it and whispered that he had it wrong. The man is too old and his ideas are archaic.

Vote for whoever you want but America is tiring of Republican responses these days. They need to make some big changes before they can begin to say their party is completely healed from 8 long years of abuse.

I love reading the political analysis of republicans right now. It shows they are completely clueless as to why they lost and why they need to make changes.

As long as they cling to the notion that they did nothing wrong and that their losses in the last two elections were flukes, they will continue as a party in political exile.

Until they embrace moderate republicans as their future they will never win another major election
