Saw two Tea Party candidates on Face the Nation this morning

There are no tea party candidates, there are just republican candidates who have joined another American populist group. Happened before in our history, will probably happen again. Government and immigration seem to always be the hot items. But one could say change/progress are the motivating engine.

Marco Rubio is usually an enormous cliche, but I was glad to hear he agrees with social security. SS is solvent much of that debate was wrong. He came off sensible in this talk.

Ken Buck came off as sane which I guess is a good thing, the nuttiness was hidden in the usual evasive spin.

If the Tea Party movement strengthens, I think it will become a third party. The Republican party can not delivery what the Teabaggers wants. The Republican party still has too many centralists.
