already knew how it would come out (#1) - even before it was first aired in 2010.

Agree or disagree?: 1) The Beatles 2) Michael Jackson 3) Led Zeppelin 4) The Rolling Stones 5) Bob Dylan

I think he was around #12.

Surprised me a lot.

I had him in the top 3.

Then whats the list based on? Other than the Beetles no other Artist has remained as popular for as long as he has.

The list was voted on by musical artists - their peers.

Not by fans.

Led Zapp is overrated

Should be lucky to make the top 10.

Don't recall where the Greatful Dead finished.

If it makes you feel any better - all of the individual Beatles finished behind Elvis.

Best post-Beatles careers: George, Paul, John, Ringo

John could have been top-5 artist on his own - except he copped-out........................

John was ranked below Paul? I could see maybe below George (though I think John had the best solo music), but below Paul?

I'm not sure about the individual rankings. Don't care.

It's almost like The Beatles were ONE PERSON in their heyday.

Never ever seen a band have so much fun.

You can't fake it...........................

I pulled this off a blog. Critique away.

Before my time, but if it is to be a legitmate list of greatest performers, Sinatra, Jimmy or Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and others ought to be represented.

the list is a crock of shit.....Radiohead is no 29?.....they are greater than all those rock bands behind them?...........Springsteen is greater than Chuck Berry?....:eusa_eh:

I know 29? Radiohead is easily top 10.

yea right..........they have been around since what?....middle nineties?......the word GREATEST has a meaning.....

So the list should exclude everything post-80s in order to be "greatest." Gotcha.

I would go George, John, Paul and Ringo, and I'd put the Dead, Clapton and The Allman Brothers all far above Jackson.

They included Whitney Houston, who sounded like a dyspeptic air raid siren? No Diana Ross? No Gladys Knight?

No Ray Orbison?

Bruce springsteen can't carry a tune in a bucket. Never saw what people like about him.
Talking Heads is nothing but pretense...people play them to upset the folks around them.... they are the equivalent of running your finger on the black board.

so fucking what?......they received some awards.....so have the Jonas Brothers.....your going to tell me that they are greater in terms of accomplishment and influence than Black Sabbath,Fleetwood Mac,Aerosmith,Rush, the Kinks,Van Halen,Metallica,Ramones,Cream, the Doors,Judas Priest, the Band and others on this list that they are ahead of?......Greatest means accomplishment and influence and success over the years..... not just because you won a few awards......do you realize how many awards Fleetwood Mac for instance has won over the years?.....if you wanna go by awards,Radiohead would not even be on this list compared to most of the ones on here.....if Radio head was in the bottom 25 we would not be having this discussion....
