Only a conservative would name a dog, Spot.
I tried feeding my weimaraners conservatives and they became vegetarians.

The commies have always hated pets- "too bourgeois"
The Chi-Coms have the one-child policy and now they have the one-pet policy
Sad thing is
How many nutroots think this is a good idea
China is heavily over populated, and just had a major crop failure in the northern provinces. Sounds to me like they have a policy reflecting the reality that they face.
Perhaps, do think state mandates from a centrally planned economy that kept the country from developing added to or took away from the problem?
notice in the West we don't have this problem; it is actually the opposite for most

Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living

New Zealanders Robert and Brenda Vale self-described specialists in sustainable living at Victoria University in Wellington charge that the carbon paw-print of a pet dog is double that of an SUV driving 6,200 miles a year, while a pet cat has an eco claw-print slightly less than driving a Volkswagen Golf for a year. Confirming these results, John Barrett of the Stockholm Environment Institute in York, Britain, said, Owning a dog really is quite an extravagance. Pets detrimental impact on the environment is not limited to their carbon footprint, the Vales insist; if permitted to roam, predatory dogs and cats devastate wildlife (squirrels, birds, frogs) while their fecal matter spreads bacteria and disease in rivers and streams, killing aquatic life.
I wish this stupid cat would roam. She just sits underfoot, waiting for me to feed her...
Cats are clever. They know a soft sucker when they meet one. Be more of a biatch, Em.

OK, your ideological blindness is very apparent. I do not support the repressiveness of the Chinese government in any way. It is preventing and even greater expansion of their economy than they are presently experiancing.
However, who is buying whose debt? And whose economy is growing like gangbusters? Who is graduating ten times the engineers as we are? And who is doing major inovation on technologies ranging from alternative energies to electric cars?
The Chinese Communists inherited the problem of overpopulation. Even the early internal wars and firing squads made no inroads on that problem. Their 'one child' policies have. To the point that they are going to have the same problem as all the industrial nations at the same time as we are. An aging workforce, with far fewer workers to replace them.

The opposite of 'love' is not 'hate'... it's 'indifference'. Maybe you should hate her a little less.
This should be a clue.Save the Planet- eat your pet or Liberals eat Spot
