But I think that there will be a third party challenge if the GOP establishment ramrods Romney to the nomination...

Scenarios I see-

Someone like Mike Huckabee gets in through "America Elects".

Trump runs a third party candidacy.

Ron Paul jumps the GOP train and goes for the LIbertarian ticket.

Any one of these is probably enough to tip the election Obama's way.

Yeah, it could work out something like that. And if it does, it will be an entirely self-inflicted wound. The GOP is so paralyzed by its purity testing that it's breaking into pieces.

They're going to hand this to O, and it will be their own fault.

Maybe... But the real problem was the GOP Establishment, which is already resented by the rank and file, the TPM and the average suburbanite, trying to foist Romney on us when we already said no.
