Newt is attacking Mitt with dishonor and untruefulness, but a lot of passion. He is sinking Romney, but he is also sinking himself. Negative ads work against the target, but also against the person using them. I think figured out a long time ago he won't win, but he still is desperate to be on the ticket. He knows his battle with Romney won't end up with him being picked at the running mate, therefore, he is going with Santorum. He will attack Romney with the same dishonesty he has already protrayed and sinking Romney along with himself in an effort to raise Santorum. All his efforts are done in order to be the #2 to Santorum!
