Santorum is dropping out.

He did the right thing, in my opinion. He didn't want to face possible defeat in his home state of Pennsylvania, his young daughter is ill, and he knows Romney has it wrapped....

Could he be looking for the VP slot?

he can hope and pray but he has no prayer. Santorum will be a weapon the left can use to paint Romney as an extremist. Romney will go for someone like Marco Rubio to appeal to Hispanic voters and secure Florida, Nikki Haley to appeal to women voters...something along those lines. My guess is Rubio

Although Missouri might surprise this time. That was really close last time and they don't like Romney there. Never did.

I admire Santorum for having his priorities in order and wish him well. He seems like a decent man and was sincere in this race. He ran a somewhat clean campaign.
But Santorum is a homophobe of the highest order. We need to rid our party of all of these folks.
Rid ourselves of them as Goldwater stated 30 years ago and The Republican Party wins the White House for the next 16 years.

i won't mind seeing the homophobes leave the party, but your boy Romney likes to pander to them, too.
