Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum called Obama a "snob" last week because the president advocates that American students to go to college.

Rick Santorum's 'Snob' Lob Against Obama Brings GOP Governors To President's Defense

GOP governers backed Obama on this one too... hilarious!

Some of the leading Republican governors are coming to President Barack Obama's defense against charges from former Senator Rick Santorum that the president's push for universal higher education amounts to intellectual and political snobbery.

And of course the link is to the Huffington Post, that bastion of objectivity and non-partisan news reporting.

What Santorum stated was taken out of context, by the leftist media AND by some Republican politicians.

This is what Santorum said:

"President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob. There are good, decent men and women who go out and work hard everyday and put their skills to test that aren't taught by some liberal college professor that [tries] to indoctrinate them."

Perhaps you could fill in the "context"?

Santorum can run a good primary campaign, but he is just too socially conservative to pull off a win in the general.

He was able to win in a swing state like Pennsylvania, but that was a while ago. Plus, this isn't a Senate seat.

We're talking about the Presidency.

This is the big time.

Santorum has already been painted like a religious fanatic by the media. It is almost impossible for him to overcome that stereotype during a campaign.

Additionally, Santorum lacks the kind of ground game and organization to seriously compete during a long primary process.

Romney will seal up his front runner status on Super Tuesday.

apparently you dont have a college education....
this speaks volumes...

Actually I do.... and yep, it speaks volumes
:fu:
that online degree doesnt count....

and if youre really stupid if you think kids not going to college is a good thing.....

:dig:

Im not going to dignify you with a response to my college records... they are sealed like Obama's.

As for what I feel about college, not every kid out there is college material.
If you have pie in the sky dreams, I cant help you.

There are plenty of folks out there who have made a huge success w/o any formal degree.

Its also not a good idea for some kid who cant afford to go to college, to get themselves so in debt that they will always be beholding to a loan note (to the gov't). Perhaps that is Obama's end game.... to have us all in debt to the gov't :eusa_think:

Regardless, Obama IS a snob
