I wonder if Mr. Bonaparte's middle initial there 'N' stands for Napoleon? Gestapo police and Napoleon managing the city, wtf Sanford

"When the Sanford Police Department arrived at the scene of the incident, Mr. Zimmerman provided a statement claiming he acted in self-defense, which at the time was supported by physical evidence and testimony," the chief responded. "By Florida Statute, law enforcement was PROHIBITED from making an arrest based on the facts and circumstances they had at the time."
The vote of no confidence, then, was predicated on the Chief’s poor handling of the politics of the issue, not the law.

If the Chief had arrested Zimmerman to provide political cover, he’d be breaking the law.

Fortunately the Chief made the correct – if difficult – choice, he followed the law, although doing so may indeed have cost him his job.
