SANDY SAYS (THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH)

But the inconvenient truth about this coziness and comfort is that it is consistent - until it's not.
Subways run smoothly - until they don't.
Trees stand firmly - until they don't.
Electricity powers homes - until it doesn't.

These are frustrating (at times, infuriating) facts.
But these are the facts. And when I reflect on them, I am forced to ask myself (and my wife) - where does comfort and convenience end, and commitment to our country begin?

Will Superstorm Sandy Finally Silence the Climate Science Deniers?

In An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore showed us the possibility of superstorms and how, along with global warming one of these superstorms may one day flood a major U.S. city, New York City being one of them. Go back and find the book or rent the movie, and see the eerie similarity of how global warming was supposed to put sections of lower Manhattan underwater and what happened in reality a few days ago.
