Ole Bernie is Dangerous to us and the United States. He is a avowed Socialist. How he keeps getting elected...:cuckoo:

"Washington - Global banking giant Citigroup has agreed to pay $285 million to settle charges that it misled investors about a complex financial instrument tied to the now-crippled housing market, the Securities and Exchange Commission said Wednesday.

"The announcement was unlikely to satisfy critics of Wall Street and Washington's bailout of its banks who've waited years for any major Wall Street executive to be jailed for practices that led to the global financial meltdown in 2008, which still roils the U.S. economy."

For those keeping score (like Bernie Sanders) Wall Street banks have now paid a total of one billion dollars in SEC enforcement actions.

For those still clueless about what OWS wants...

"The details (of this case) are the face of the problem that brings Occupy Wall Street protestors to the streets. We have theft from actual people. In the end these are pension fund beneficiaries ... it's clear we know the names of the perpetrators, and yet these people are apparently not heading to jail."

Ole Bernie is the one person who speaks up for the middle class. The rest of them hate the middle class.

I'm not saying replace it at all. But it is INARGUABLE. Nobody can argue, NOBODY can ARGUE the fact that corruption is rampant on wall street. How to fix it I dont know. Its the best system out there (I think), BUT there are people making millions at the EXPENSE OF THE MIDDLE CLASS. Those are irrefutable facts.

UnAmerican Liberals should live in Cuba or North Korea, they don't have "Wall Street" there

So what would you do about it? Besides whine, of course.

Regulate HFT for starters.

"They outline how large brokers and funds can buy and sell a stock for the same price and still make 0.5 cents. Do that a million times a day and the money adds up. Or maybe do it 8 billion times.

"It requires powerful computers, complicity of the exchanges (because the exchanges get paid a lot), and highly proximate computer connections.

"Literally, the need for speed is so important that to play this game you have to have your servers physically at the exchange. Across the river in New Jersey is too slow. Forget Texas or California. This is a game played out in microseconds."

The entirety of Wall Street, every brokerage house, should close their doors and move to India or China. Turn New York into empty buildings fit for rats and OWS protesters. Fire every employee from the janitor on up. The intelligent and talented can go follow the company overseas.

Give the shitters what they want. No jobs, empty buildings and no money. Stop supporting them. They are like pigeons, they come where someone throws out seed.

That's silly. My husband did exactly that when he was alive. We did pretty well too. Of course now, I would support putting an end to the buying and selling of options completely. Only foreigners should be allowed to do that. Not in the US. Move it out of the country.

How well did you do by defrauding pension funds?

Are you sayin you like the way rich people get richer from "algo" trading?

"High-frequency trading strategies have become a stealth tax on retail and institutional investors.

"While stock prices will probably go where they would have gone anyway, toxic trading takes money from real investors and gives it to the high frequency trader who has the best computer.

"The exchanges, ECNs and high frequency traders are slowly bleeding investors, causing their transaction costs to rise, and the investors don't even know it." (Themis Trading)

"We are literally talking billions of dollars here...
