Good point, but they certainly went for the long shot and it did not pay off.
Bernie would have been a much safer bet because he was against the Iraq invasion and was against more gun control.
Now I am no longer sure, since he has changed some positions.

Yea, Bernie is old-news now. Only his Redditers are still "Feeling the Bern." And, naw. Bernie was the safer bet because people actually liked his old ass. I saw Bernie bumper stickers everywhere. Didn't see ANY Clinton shit, AT ALL, until *after* the primaries. Clinton's main body of supporters were those passive, brainless voters that aren't politically aware enough to participate or care about the primaries.
