From wikipedia:

The Special Republican Guard was controlled by the Special Security Organization and charged with protecting President Saddam Hussein, presidential sites, Baghdad, and responding to any rebellion, coup, or other threat to his power.[1]

The things you learn.

How could you compare the Parties in two entirely different political systems, though? Seems inane.

True, his use of the term "REPUBLICAN" has no relation to the US Republican party; he was a fascist dictator.

So, using this rationale, National Socialism - or Nazism - makes Obama and company Nazi's.

Yeah idiot, where do you see 'Democrat' in National Socialism? I see 'Republican' in Republican Guard. What a totally witless piece of trash you just posted.:lol::lol:

His point was a valid one though. The word Republican doesn't mean American Republican, everywhere. That's just flat out wrong.

Thank you for seeing the point I was attempting to illustrate. The poster above you is obviously too dense to see the comparo.

Of course it isn't, but that's NOT the point. It was a dig. If you want to dig back, at least have it make sense, like Democratic People's Republic(-an:D) of Korea(NK). Referencing National Socialism made no sense.

No, you're too fucking stupid to see the point I was making. Those with an ounce of brain can see the point. It's obvious you're a public-school educated dunce. Probably never served your country either. Do something productive today, like counting your Foodstamps, asswipe.

Yes, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea would be an example.

If you agree with the stigma of "socialism" as being attached to American Democrats (the stigma anyways, not necessarily that they ARE socialist), his point made sense.

Then explain it. PUT UP OR SHUT UP. I don't see anything but another nothing post that just wastes everybody's time. Can ya explain it, can ya? :doubt:

Bad analogy. If you're going to make a counter dig to the OPs use of "Republican", you go with an similar use of "Democratic", not "Socialist". The Nazis didn't use the word, many other bad guys have. I stand by my assessment, clueless post.
