Sad Story... Child Killed Play Wrestling With Dad.

Play wrestling with a gun in your pocket.
Nothing completely fucking wrong with that!

Yeah. Very dumb move. But... Why is it that 9 times out of 10 when we hear of a accidental, or negligent discharges; the pistol turns out to be a Glock..? So much for their claim of a safe action.

Wrestling with your son with a loaded gun in your pocket was never part of Glock's marketing strategy...so I wouldn't blame them on this one.....

Its definitely on dad. But if the gun fired merely by being dropped as claimed... Theres a little more to it. Still its initially on the dad. Tragic...

Indiana boy dies after father's gun discharges during play wrestling, police say

I dont know how this could happen, or how one would live with themselves. Terrible...
Who wrestles with a gun
Not many people... The story is kind of short on details though... Did the kid just come up and tackle dad, excited that he was home, and dad had an armful of stuff, so he went down? Who knows. Bad holster retention is another failure point for sure.

Yeah, more to it alright. it's a lie. A Glock cannot fire if dropped, period. There is a trigger safety that must be depressed before one even starts the squeeze. actually you can't even squeeze until depressed.

If the trigger safety is not depressed, the trigger will not move rearwards and allow the pistol to fire. The trigger safety is designed to prevent the pistol from firing if it's dropped or if the trigger is subjected to any pressure that isn't a direct firing pull.

Reminds me of another case in Tacoma WA, back in the 90's. An officer shot a black man he was holding in the stomach and killed him. He claimed "the glock went off by itself" They spent a huge amount of money and time on trying to determine if a Glock could fire by itself. Stupid fuks, just like this unfortunate case OP posted. Didn't happen as he claimed.

let's analyse the incident. If the handgun was a revolver there is no way that it could have gone off during "play wrestling". The normal configuration of a concealed weapon is muzzle down so you have to stretch your imagination of how the father and the child could have both been shot at th same time. Murder and attempted suicide?
