Any Mad Men fans here? New season starts tonight and unfortunately I won't be able to watch until it comes online (Monday? hopefully).

So who's watching, and who's rooting for the new Cooper Sterling Draper Price?

Don's little girl,
Sally

Sally lost her lisp and that's not the same kid playing Bobby, is it?

Welcome.

With a name like Shipka, how could she help not growing up with a lisp? They probably wanted her to keep it thinking it was cute? Otherwise you'd think a drama coach would have been brought in years ago to help her lose it?

I don't watch much of anything on TV.

How do you feel about Octopron?

Octopron, octoporn's worse half?

I can only guess that pronning is the octopi equivalent to pawing.

I've looked forward to this new season of Mad Men and was not disappointed with last night's first episode. What I like most is the nostalgia afforded by its 1950s ethos, which probably will be alien to those of more current generations but will captivate and hold us old farts.

Re: the question: I very much favor the success of the new venture. I foresee Draper making it big, finding a new love, and Betsy's domestic problems driving her politician lover away. Maybe in the long run Draper will end up back in his 50s suburban cliche.

Time will tell. Meanwhile I will revel in this Sunday night soap opera.

I felt there was a disconnect between the characters last night . . . until Don snapped too at the end!

I hope CSDP struggles for awhile. It'll be interesting to see them have to bust chops to get the business off the ground. Peggy is certainly coming into her own, isn't she? New do and more assertive.

When Sally barfed at the table and Betty took her out of the room <stop pinching me!>. . . Betty sure doesn't like her kids.

The show takes place in the 60's not 50's. My guess is that it's 1964 or 1965. Wasn't Kennedy's assassination in the second season? I love watching all the background and set stuff. I've spotted many familiar items from my childhood. My fav? The rotary phones. Love them!

Welcome.

But do try to keep your 'popular culture' posts to 'general discussion', 'flame-zone', or 'stupid is as stupid does' sections. Thanx!

Both of you make Baybee Jaysus Cry.

How about fish sex?

Seriously, dude, Gunny has a real phobia of Aquatic Beastality....

Was he attacked by a guppy when he was young?

My theory is he was attacked by the Dreaded Candiru AKA Penis Fish

It is true that you should not pee in the Amazon River. It is true that there is a fish-like parasite that can swim up through your urine stream into your urethra and embed it's fin-like spikes into your urethra and grow inside you.

The outdoors is far more enlightening than scripted media. Why is this show worth investment of your time...to you?
