"In a letter to Chu in December 2009, Ryan said the stimulus money would help his state create thousands of new jobs, save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. That contrasted with his public statements denigrating the stimulus program as a "wasteful spending spree." It also conflicts with his larger federal budget proposal, which would slash Energy Department programs aimed at creating green jobs."

I thought the stimulus created no jobs. You cons are such sellouts.

Hes supposed to let his tax payers money go somewhere else? He still has the play the game until the rules change.

Both sides of an issue, he is a Romney man. What is that 4 days for the first major blow to Ryan? Good god this is going to be a massacre.

What a dirtbag weasel.

Ryan called stimulus wasteful, then sought funds - Businessweek

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan has been one of the harshest critics of President Barack Obama's economic stimulus plan. But months after Congress approved the nearly $800 billion package, the Wisconsin lawmaker was trying to steer money under the program to companies in his home state.

Rep. Ryan wrote letters in 2009 to Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis seeking stimulus grant money for two Wisconsin energy conservation companies. One of them, the nonprofit Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp., later received $20.3 million from the Energy Department to help homes and businesses improve energy efficiency, according to federal records.

I'm almost tempted to rep you for being the first leftie to post a meaningful post on a relevant issue.

And it does appear that the conflicting messages could be a problem. IF Obama ever gets off the silly shit and actually talks substance.

The fact that he sucked the teat that he claims he hates, for green companies, shows what a little ratbag hypocrite he is. He's like a skimming beat cop, shaking down the local bookies.

Barack's $tim-Buck$

"In just his second month after taking office, Berg and House Republicans voted to defund all stimulus money that had yet to be spent, including $14.13 million for Minot’s 55th Street bridge. The entire project was nearly scrapped after Berg’s vote put funding in jeopardy."

Ryan's behavior is fairly typical of the GOP.

He's another proponent and advocate of welfare socialism for the corporations that buy off the right wing pols.

He castigates the Federal system while sucking every cent out of it he can get.

Nothing unusual about that, is there?

That defines the GOP playbook for the last 40 years
