Ryan Plan Vs. ObamaCare?

Eat shit, commie punk.

Under the Ryan plan, I'm one of the ones who will pretty much end up eating all the taxes paid in and I'm totally good with it.

I'm confused. You're ostensibly very upset about "dishonest demonizing" of the GOP budget, yet you clearly share the same conception of it held by those who are familiar with it. Namely, that those under 55 who've been paying for Medicare are shit out of luck under the GOP budget because Medicare won't be there anymore. It will have been dismantled by the GOP.

You're one of the few on the far right who not only admits what the GOP plan is, you openly--well, semi-openly--embrace it because you've clearly been frothing at the mouth to see Medicare destroyed. Yet you characterize an assessment that's perfectly in line with your own as some sort of demagoguery. A Paul Ryan mancrush is no excuse for such naked cynicism.

If you don't want to try for those things because you don't believe achieving them is possible and thus ending Medicare is the only option, that's your business (it seems to be a common sentiment on the far right). But that's a bit defeatist for my tastes.

Relax, all right?....My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Like I said before, Obama gives us one option where as the real solution is to give people more options.

If you were selling insurance and told everyone you only had one policy to sell, they'd tell you to hit the road.

You're confused alright....It comes with the territory of running into guys like me, who don't believe wormy little used car salesmen like you anymore.

I admit nothing, other than that Medicare has been a pure scam all along and I'm good with it being relegated to the ash heap ASAP.

That my taxes have been thrown into a bureaucratic black hole is merely my willingness to live in reality, rather than keep living the lies that assholes like you keep spewing.

Like I said....I can't be scared off from reality by little weasel fucks like you.

No kidding. That's what I just said. Folks like you who are frothing at the mouth to destroy Medicare love the Ryan plan. As you should.

This is all just a cover for their pilfering of the Medicare/Social Security funds for years.

Nether would be in trouble if they had kept their fucken hands out of those funds in the first place, and by that measure we wouldn't be in such massive debt if they had left them alone.

They saw all of that money sitting idle and couldn't resist borrowing from it. Little did we know they were taking the cash the under 55ers were paying into it and spending it where they pleased.

Correct – the truth of it comes out: it’s something the right has wanted to do for almost 50 years.

Yeah, at the rate they're going they're never gonna be able to destroy Medicare.

Course that really helps the Dems because they've been accusing them of trying to destroy it for so long, and they've won so many elections by telling everyone that was their evil intent. :eusa_angel:

Gee. Why screw up a good thing?

And of course both plans have insurance companies in the driver's seat.

You apparently have no clue about the health insurance industry. Do you realize health insurance companies have among the LOWEST profit margins among large corporations? It varies year to year but 3 to 5 percent is not uncommon. That too much for you? How about Apple, Inc.? Their iPhone has a profit margin of nearly 60%. Shall we nationalize them too? How about bottled water? 50 to 200 percent profit margins! Looks like we'll have to take them over too, eh?
Health insurance profits have been relatively low since 2000. I doubt they will remain low after Obama care dumps 30 million more customers in their lap and if it ever passes, Ryancare which would eventually dump 60 million more. However, that's not why I'm down on insurance companies.

Health insurance, either private or government pay most our medical bills. They are in essence the customer. Patients, for the most part, buy whatever the healthcare providers wants to sell them. The more the insurance pays the less the patient cares about cost. Insurance companies do little to control cost. They pay claims, raise premiums, and see their profits rise. The Ryan plan would be a disaster to the seniors of tomorrow unless we control rising healthcare cost. Medicare as we know it will be a disaster for everyone unless we can control the rising cost of healthcare.

So removing pre-conditions is a great way to control costs???

more truth: for 50 years in this country communists have wanted and have been striving to control your health care...why?....as Lenin said "Medicine is the keystone in the arch of Socialism"

you guys are blindly missing something.....if anyone is frothing to destroy or at least not give a damn about Medicare it is Obama....he already proved that by taking half a TRILLION out of the Medicare funds to fund his new bros....so lots of seniors are going to get less (after paying in all their lives) but BO doesn't give a damn because he is out to expand his power and voting base...

the Obamacare approach will cause Medicare to go BROKE...as in NO MORE MEDICARE as we know it....and if you think BOcare or any new BO version will be equal to Medicare you got another think coming...socialized medicine stinks...

At least with the Ryancare approach you stand a chance of maintaining the Medicare program for seniors and providing yourself with some decent care...

Tell me something I don't know.

Proving it is the problem.

A friend of mine at Group told me the solution is to take all the Democrats in Washington out on the lawn and shoot em in the head.

At the time I thought that was crazy.

Should an insurance company be forced to insure your house when it is burning down?

I'm doing no such thing.

What I'm doing is accepting the premise proffered by scaremonger Marxist twirps like you, that the Ryan plan (or any other idea that deviates from expansion upon the status quo for that matter) will "destroy Medicare as we know it"....To which I say: "So, what's the downside?"
