I don´t know if it is already time for Iranian-led militias to leave Syria but it is very clear that this cannot be an unilateral move. They all need to pullout and take their militants with them.

What will this mean to the argument that Trump is a "Putin Puppet" now when Trump doesn't pull out? That is, without Russia doing same.

Syria has become an ever increasing investor in Syria -- since WWII.

The US is not a Russian puppet. But by the same token, there is no reason why the US cannot develop more friendly relations with Russia.

There is no real reason that the US has to be suspect of every damn thing the Russians do, any more than we are suspect of every other nation's diplomatic, military, economic, political or scientific R&D activity.

In the 21st Century, we need to become much more flexible in the alliances we groom, and less inclined to install automatic bars to cooperative efforts. There is no reason we need to challenge Russian efforts in Syria.
