Russia Banned from International Sports for Four Years

Birds of a feather.
These are Trump's "friends."

But the Trumpettes are apparently going to either (1) ignore this news entirely or (2) say it's politically contrived by the Deep State.

Annulled medals due to doping (2016):

USA:
Gold: 7
Silver: 1
Bronze: 3

Russia:
Gold: 5
Silver: 14
Bronze: 7
We lost 7 gold medals due to doping?
Yes. And because that´s more than Russia, the USA ranks first.
Afraid not. And you're going to have to provide me with a link, because there was nothing in the Wiki article about the US losing any medals in 2016.
The majority of medals have been stripped in athletics (50, including 19 gold medals) and weightlifting (47, including 13 gold medals). The country with the most stripped medals is Russia (and Russian associated teams), with 46, four times the number of the next highest, and more than 30% of the total. The Post-Soviet states account for more than 60% of the overall total.

Is there anything liberals won't blame on Trump? .. :dunno:
Not blaming him; just pointing out that we are judged by the company we keep.

It is not 2016, it is as of 2016.
But thanks for your article. It says two were returned, instead of the country banned. It shows clearly that they use the international sport to install the iron curtain.

Some sportsmen in all countries use drugs and normally those sportsmen have been banned, not the whole countries. All this smells pretty fishy and sounds like dishonest eliminating of the strong competitors. Especially, in the world when American and Norwegian sportsmen are allowed to use drugs and where males trangenders are allowed to compete with women.

What here puzzles you?
If you want to participate, follow the rules. I don't buy these cynics that everyone dopes and only Russia gets caught. That's horse hockey. Not that every country doesn't get a cheat now and then, but Russia has so many that it almost seems like part of their strategy.

So it doubled within few years? I´m not that stupid to buy into that. That´s just another hint that this doping thing is solely political.

It wasn't for an athlete popping positive--there was more to it:
WADA's executive committee took the decision after it concluded that Moscow had tampered with laboratory data by planting fake evidence and deleting files linked to positive doping tests that could have helped identify drug cheats.

The WADA committee's decision to punish Russia with a ban was unanimous, the spokesman said.

Serena is frequently tested
And so is American Simone Biles. And yes, she's constantly and officially on drugs. For years!

Those countries should be banned to begin with. And those who allow all that crap, don't you think?
