Taking into consideration the violent tweets on his account and the bounty on Zimmerman's head (that Spike Lee knew about) I seriously doubt he felt it would be a peaceful demonstration. Spike Lee is still talking about black folks being strung up in trees and castrated. I read it on his tweet account this morning. Tweeted 27 March 2012. Guy is still living in the past. Things that happened before he was born.

I noticed the volume of racist tweets to his account is way down since he paid those old folks off. I think his apology may have cooled some of his fans to him.

This has all been an intentional rush to judgment. Despicable assholes like Spike Lee (who held a fundraiser for Obama), Al Sharpton, and NBC along with Media Matters have been intentionally egging this on to help solidify Obama's African-American base. That's all this is about. You want to give Lee the benefit of doubt by saying he hoped it would all be peaceful. Figure the odds on that. The laws says if you do anything that directly leads to a criminal act you're an accessory to the crime.
