Rush Limbaugh the flip-flopper.

This takes the cake on flip-flopping:

In 2008 Rush endorses Mitt Romney, then in 2011 can't wait to take a shot at him. Major flip-flop and he has lost all credibility with me, he is no longer on my listening dial. What's changed Rush?? Romney has not changed his positons nor has he been in public office for the last 3-4 years?

Rush endorsed him after Romney's health care plan passed, yet now he doesn't? It looks pretty suspicious to me. He has lost all credibility with me, especially when he attacks our own GOP candidates. He wants to attack someone, attack the current occupant of the White House and leave the GOP to fight it out on their own. We will pick the winner, not Rush Limbaugh.

Levin, Hannity, Ingraham and now Nobel nominee Rush Limbaugh (membership req’d): Big talk radio swings unanimously for Mitt Romney. Rush makes several solid points that you’ve heard before, mostly regarding how McCain represents the GOP’s national security wing, Huckabee represents its social conservative wing, and Ron Paul represents the economic conservative wing, but Romney is the one candidate who represents all three by himself. Romney is a late convert to all three, which as I wrote the other day explains why conservatives have taken so long to warm up to him.

Mitt Romney is still the same guy that he is talking about above.
It's a LIE...Limbaugh did NOT endorse anyone.

So you will be hearing Herman Cain commercials on the program. He's a 50-state buy, by virtue of this program. And when you hear that, it doesn't imply an endorsement. We're not doing that. We're just businesspeople here and candidate Cain said, "I want to buy some time on your program." We said fine and dandy. (interruption)

What? I did not endorse Romney. Who said I endorsed Romney? It was not a guy in the e-mail. It was a woman that was mad at me for criticizing Romney. Now, anyway, the Herman Cain commercials will start soon. It doesn't mean that we've endorsed Herman Cain, and it doesn't mean that we're not gonna talk about anybody else. You know, Romney can buy some time. Rick Perry can buy some time. If they wish.

Well technically he didn't. He just said that Romney offered all three corners attractive as a conservative candidate while all the others lacked one or more of those components. That's what I said in my earlier post. Rush wasn't more than lukewarm toward Romney, but in the 2008 campaign thought he was the one who offered the most for the conservative side and the one most likely to be able to beat the Democratic candidate.

This time Rush is seeing good alternatives to Romney, as are many of us, and he is commenting on that.

Mitt Romney is still the same guy that he is talking about above.

I'm just here to comment on the OP. The Thread itself is so deep in Bullshit, I have no interest in subjecting myself to it, up to this Post.

You are being unfair to Rush, Maple. You probably do not understand the context of His Position, so I am giving you the Benefit of the doubt.

In the 2008 Election Cycle, Rush, looking at the Candidates, perceived Romney as the more Conservative, of those He was running against then. McCain, Huckabee, Guilani, are Left of Him.

In the 2012 Election Cycle, there are Major Players Right of Him, which Conservatives do Prefer. Rush has plainly stated that If Romney is the Republican Nominee, He will support Him. So will I. There are more Conservative Choices out there, that is the point. Leave the Demonizing, Trashing, and Throwing under the Bus, to the Left. We don't need to disrespect good People, for having a difference of opinion, or perspective. That is not what Liberty is about. Rush has earned His Respect. Kissing Socialist Ass by ridiculing Rush, does nothing for Him or You. It's just a form of Sellout, with nothing to show for it.
Except Guiliani was your MessiahRushie's 2nd choice and Romney was third. His first choice was Thompson, but he did so badly and dropped out so early he had to move on to number 2, Guiliani even though FGuiliani was and is to the Left of Romney. Stuttering Limptard was endorsing Guiliani well before Romney and only moved to Romney when Guiliani's strategy of stating away from the early caucuses killed him. Only then did he endorse Romney, and make no mistake, he endorses people in the primaries. Now he won't actually say "I endorse so-and-so" because if they fail to get the GOP nomination where he has the most influence, then it would expose just how weak his endorsement is.

But as I posted earlier, he admits he makes it clear just who he endorses without actually using the words, as he says in a "subtle" but "clear" way.

January 4, 2008
RUSH: People need leadership. It's one of my mantras. They want leadership. And to a lot of these people, I am their leader. And they think that I am AWOL on leadership because I don't come out and endorse a candidate, and because I don't come out and go through the candidates' particulars and suggest this is good, this is bad. I have actually been doing that; if anybody listens regularly, they shouldn't really be having a tough time figuring out who I like and who I don't like.

CALLER: Totally.

RUSH: But nevertheless, maybe that kind of subtlety is not powerful enough to get through.

So in 2008, Thompson was his number 1 choice, Giuliani his number 2 and Romney his number 3.

And likewise his first choice for 2012 was Moochele Bachmann, which he made clear when he did the earmarks flip-flop I posted earlier because Moochele was exposed as an earmarker. So to support Moochele earmarks went from a scourge that was bribery that undermines the will of the people and made him livid, to not such a big deal and they were a way to respond to the will of the people. However Moochele did so badly after winning the straw poll, that he quickly abandoned his endorsement of her and through his support 100% behind Rick "THE Dick" Perry even though there was only a rumor of him entering the race.

He has continued to back Perry as his number 1 even though Little Dickie has done poorly in the debates and he always has a ready excuse for him. He still has Perry as his number 1, but now that AQUILA Cain is advertising on his show, he is endorsing Cain as his number 2, in spite of his denials, because he clearly has doubts about Perry and wants to claim that if AQUILA Cain gets the nomination when Perry fails it was because of advertising on his show!!!

Then he should be interested to know that Perry is at 6% in the polls and lower than Ron Paul. He killed himself on the tuition for illegal immigrants and he can't debate. 20 million people have watched the debates( and the Bloomberg one wasn't even counted) and it's early, That's as many people who voted in the last election. It's crazy, people are really paying attention to all of this, that's also why I don't think Perry can come back, people were excited about him, he was at 38% approval before he spoke a word and now he has crashed, it's a full blown up hill climb to ever get that back. Once voters are dissappointed they don't go back. Rush needs to be backing off or wearing a bag over his head.

Rick Perry's Tax Plan is Great - The Rush Limbaugh Show

RUSH: Rick Perry announced his tax plan today, which I'll go on record as saying I, El Rushbo, think is great. It's fabulous. I like it. And the left is coming unhinged.

RUSH: Well, I just love this, because she's talking about blowing a hole in the deficit. Been there, done that, Ms. Schultz. You guys wrote the book on it. When it comes to paying for it, what in the world are you paying for? We are bankrupt because of your party, Ms. Schultz. What we are proposing here is solutions that will lead to economic growth, which will lead to more precious government revenues. In fact, the president of the Club for Growth, Chris Chocola, called Rick Perry's new plan "massively pro-growth" in a statement today.
"Rick Perry’s plan for tax reform would be massively pro-growth. A Flat Tax like the one proposed by Perry would unleash years of economic growth if it is passed into law. Furthermore, eliminating the tax on dividends and capital gains would immediately add trillions of dollars in new wealth to the economy, benefiting all Americans. Perry clearly understands that revitalizing the economy should start with a complete overhaul of a tax code that has nearly choked economic growth to death. Conservatives looking for a champion to carry the banner of a pro-growth tax reform will surely rally behind this bold proposal."
Now, the president of the Club for Growth, Chris Chocola, also took a jab at Romney in his statement. He said, "Disappointed that Governor Romney has yet to embrace a flat or fair tax. He would be wise to avoid using class warfare when comparing his current proposals to those of Governor Perry or Herman Cain," talking about Romney.

Rush said that's because they know he can't win and they are not afraid of him. While I am sitting here typing on my labtop I am watching an add the dems are running against Mitt Romney in Nevada on Obama's mortgage loan bailout. Just doesn't make any sense to me to waste campaign money going after someone they are not afraid of. Does it to you??

Your MessiahRushie endorsed first Thompson, second Giuliani and third Romney. He TOLD his mindless drones to vote for Hillary to TAMPER with the Dem primary without endorsing her. Of course, true to your patented CON$ervative dumb act, you pretend that ordering mindless zombies to vote a certain way to pervert the Dem primaries is an endorsement. Remember, your MessiahRushie, in the very link you posted as an endorsement of Hillary, said this: " I was thinking it might be fun to have our Operation Chaos operatives vote Obama,"

According to your moronic "logic" that would be an endorsement of Obama. In reality it is an endorsement of tampering in the Dem primary and not a particular candidate. If Hillary had pulled ahead of Obama at some point, Stuttering LimpTard would have ordered his mindless DittoTards to vote Obama.

To the infidel, I like reading your posts, but that damn motorcycle is driving my computer nuts, it slows it down. I hope you take it off, as I will have to put your posts on ignore if you don't.

Yep, he is promoting Rick Perry, pretty obvious there and he took yet another swipe at Romney. I heard one caller call in and stated that the Democrats are not attacking mitt romney. Rush said that's because they know he can't win and they are not afraid of him. While I am sitting here typing on my labtop I am watching an add the dems are running against Mitt Romney in Nevada on Obama's mortgage loan bailout. Now,,,, if the dems are not worried about Mitt Romney why are they spending millions attacking him in adds. Just doesn't make any sense to me to waste campaign money going after someone they are not afraid of. Does it to you??

I will be interested to see how many flip-flops Limbaugh does before this is all said and done. He is going to be like a fish out of water, he will be flipping and flopping so much.
Well, you saw how many flip-flops I posted already in this thread, and your previous post has yet another flip-flop. As you point out, MessiahRushie agrees with the caller that the Dems are not attacking Romney, but only two weeks ago he accused the White House of leaking the fact that Romney's advisers met with Obama in the WH to damage Romney so they don't have to run against him.

RUSH: With the White House leaking the fact that Romney's advisors were consulted on putting together Obamacare, it would stand to reason that they want to damage Romney and therefore don't want to run against him, that they would prefer to run against somebody else, but that's not what I've heard from other sources. So I gotta sort this out.
