Right wing radio yakker Rush Limbaugh will return to Boston’s WRKO-AM (680) radio this month after a two and a half year absence.

The announcement came this afternoon during Herald columnist and WRKO personality Howie Carr’s show, which was broadcasting from the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum.

“Oh, what a great way to come back — on the great Howie Carr show,” Limbaugh said. “I’m ecstatic to be coming back to Boston.”

I listened to his show the other day, just for laughs. His commercial lineup mostly consisted of PSA's and a few promos for other shows on WLS-AM. Few products want to be associated with him at this point, and when his listenership drops off during the post-election dooldrums, look for a lot of stations to drop him when his contract is up.
