In a perfect example of projection, Limbaugh explains why he is too stupid to know he's stupid!
Thank You Rush!

RUSH: The Dunning-Kruger effect. Why low-information people do not know that they are low-information.

RUSH: "One of the painful things about our time is that those who feel certainty are stupid --" You know what that means, don't you? It means somebody that thinks they're dead right all the time, closed-minded and not open to other ideas and therefore is an idiot.

RUSH: Now, there are exceptions to this. I, for example, am one who feels certainty, and I ain't dumb.:lmao:

RUSH: "The Dunning-Kruger effect is the finding that the poorest performers are the least aware of their own incompetence.

RUSH: Socrates even once said, "The only true wisdom is to know that you know nothing."
Well, that's not the low-information voter, because the low-information voter doesn't know he doesn't know anything.

RUSH: Low-information people tend to overestimate their level of information. They fail to recognize how other people know much more than they do. They fail to recognize just how little they know, even when they're confronted with it.

RUSH: Does anybody come to mind describing any of this? Anybody spring to mind immediately when describing somebody who's constantly wrong but will never believe it, doesn't know it, and thinks so high of themselves that they could never, ever deal with the truth? [Yeah YOU spring immediately to mind]

March 01, 2012
RUSH: To put it bluntly, dumb people are too dumb to know it." It's a blessing! You know, the worst thing would be to be dumb and to know it -- and there's evidence all over that the dumb do not know they're dumb.

You hate him, and yet you still listen to him and follow his every word (and hate it).

His advertisers thank you.

oh boy, I couldn't live without knowing this:rolleyes:

but watch this go on for days

I don't think he's dumb. He's not dumb any more than other Repub operatives are dumb. He has said that he says what he is paid to say. Lying is how he makes his living and its a damn good living at that.

The dumb people are those who blindly follow his crap.

Same with Ann Coulter, $arah Palin, faux, Dredge, Alex whatever his name is.

They even believe that little twerp who breaks the law, video tapes it and is somehow a hero to the low info RWs.

The funny part is that the Republicans promise to keep them poor and in their place while giving their hard earned money to the 1%, but they choose not to believe that.

Now that is dumb.

No he really is dumb, and he is too dumb to know it. He says incredibly stupid things and thinks they are brilliant. He thinks he knows more than the experts in their own field.

A perfect example:

May 29, 2012
RUSH: * People like me have more scientific knowledge than the average advocate of global warming.

August 12, 2014
RUSH: Low-information people tend to overestimate their level of information.* They fail to recognize how other people know much more than they do.* They fail to recognize just how little they know, even when they're confronted with it.

April 3, 2007
RUSH: Mark my brilliant words on this. ... The vast majority of CO2 that's in the atmosphere comes from water vapor.

No, he obviously does not listen to him. Otherwise he'd not post such a shallow and purposefully out-of-context thing.

Well then, as a listener what do YOU say the REAL context is, other than he fits perfectly his own adaptation of the Dunning-Kruger effect to the low-information person?

About 25 years in the business while every single liberal based radio talk show has dropped out. The left hates and fears him and even has an entire (tax exempt) corporation dedicated to nit pick sentences from the show and throw them out to low information lefties who ain't got a clue. Yeah, go ahead lefties, don't listen to the show, you will be able to maintain your fear and hatred of him by relying on Huffington and Media Matters.

Its true - he does say some incredibly stupid things. And look at the sheeples who posted in his defense.

Interesting that the "Dunning Kruger effect" was first published in 1999 when the most egotistical possibly mentally depraved example that fit parameters of the effect was in the White House. Rush Limbaugh is just a voice on the radio, Bill Clinton molested women and was in charge of the Country. Al Gore is a better example. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in an area that he had no experience, education or knowledge. Rush Limbaugh is just a voice on the radio.

Yeah, play that perpetual victim card!

When lefties obsess about a voice on the radio it just makes them look mean and petty and victims of low information. Rush has no political power. A stunning example of the parameters of the alleged Dunning Kruger theory is Al Gore. The big oaf was nothing but a pampered rich kid who used his (segregationist) senator father's name recognition to get elected to the senate. He had no background in science but nobody ever said no to him. When he lost the election to Bush the embittered hypocrite developed an extortion theory that the low information left ate like pablum. He lived in splendor in his compound while the rest of us had to deal with less energy use. The epitome of Dunning Kruger was the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the fool who turned out to be a pervert molesting an woman who was giving him a message.

Your debate style isn't logical. Despite your microscopically small soundbites, out of context of course, you have not shown him to be a low-information person. Listening to his show for even a short while would lead any thoughtful person to this conclusion, whether you like or agree with him, or not.

The "context" is that the left hates him because he nails them so well. The left always lets us know who and what they fear the most by who and what the lie about and besmirch the most.

Projecting and hoping and spinning and pretending and regurgitating isn't substantial enough. You can do better.

Dunning Kruger is a crackpot theory developed by two elitist academic white guys. No wonder the left wing picked it up to use as a political tool. It's entirely reasonable to consider the theory to be racist when it assumes that speech patterns indicate ignorance and people should recognize that they will never be as smart as the elitist academics who go around branding people stupid.

what gets me is they believe everyone Republican/conservative/Tea party listens to Rush.

I haven't listened to him in over 10 YEARS or more

he's been on air for 27years. I think it's pure jealousy, petty, mean and hate they have going on for him

I can't stand Alan Combs, think he's dumber than a box of rocks, but guess what? I just didn't listen him

oh so simple
