Republicans enjoy the fact that they have a "businessman" candidate, this imply's their candidate can run a national campaign or our government more efficiently. This all sounds great except for one thing: America Was Not Designed To Be Run As A Business. You will not find the word "Business" or "Capitalism" in the constitution or the bill of rights. The GOP is going to find out (the hard way) that Donald Trump's businessman approach to this campaign will fail. Trump has tried to run everything on the cheap. He has little staff, and relied on family members and friends to do much of the work. This has resulted in one error after another. The only reason Donald Trump is even close to Hillary Clinton in the polls, is Hillary is almost as unpopular as Mr. Trump. Republicans...I know you don't like Hillary Clinton, but you'd better accept the fact that that your beloved businessman is going to lose. Mrs. Clinton is a political veteran who knows how to win, she has the staff and the money to turn undecided voters into votes for herself. All Team Trump has is speeches, TV interviews, twitter....and arrogance. It's not going to be enough.
:boohoo:

One thing is true and that is, contrary to popular conservative belief, gov'ts are not businesses'

Having worked in the military and government for 8 years, I can tell you that the biggest obstacle to getting something done in Government is the negative inertia of government.

"We can't do it."

"We can't do it that way."

"We tried that before and it didn't work."

"If we do it that way, then [FILLIN THE BLANK] will be offended/obsolete."

In the private sector, when a successful executive proposes something, the attitude is, "How can we get this done?" not "Why we can't do it."

And Mr. Trump will not have to kowtow to any constituency, in the hope of being re-elected - as every career politician does.

His campaign has been BRILLIANT in identifying issues that are Hot Buttons for the American working class (who completely abandoned Romney four years ago), and exploiting his personal media magnetism. As a result, he has accomplished more with a relative pittance than HRC has accomplished with tens of millions of dollars in spending.

And you think he's the dumb one?

At the core of any business is cost/benefit analysis. Why should government be exempt from this?

Earth to DGS49 - Identifying hot button issues is easy. Solving these problems within the legal bounds of the Presidency is quite another. You've completely missed the point! Donald Trump is going to lose this election.....it does not matter what "hot button issues" he identifies.

No, you have lost whatever point you were trying to make in your OP. Simplistic predictions on who is going to win the election are getting tiresome.
