Two thoughts: One, Romney is not the "GOP". Two, the federal government has no authority to pay for local cops. Three, Romney's statement makes clear that he doesn't believe we should borrow even more money to hire even more cops. Nothing about reducing the number of cops. Cutting back on government does not necessarily mean cutting back on the number of cops.

The rioters took over the streets in the 1999 WTC riots.

They let hoodlums run the streets. Seattle cops are lazy and inept.

As far as a new arena for NBA and NHL - will be bogged down in the "Seattle Process"
