I’m honestly surprised. I figured the jury would be willing to give the cop the benefit of the doubt, or at least that is the usual excuse. In this case, it seems not.

I wish it would be part of a growing trend but I doubt it. Hundreds of unarmed people are shot by cops every year, and one conviction is not even a dent in the numbers. We should see more, a lot more.
Counting down until the Appeals Court decides that the cop was afeared for his partners life and that makes it all OK.
