Ron Paul: The Revolution Is Inevitable...

No, it's about healing the country from Republican excess. But speaking of race, have you seen those scary Sharon Angle ads? It's Willie Horton all over again. Only this time with Hispanics. Wonder if that upsets all those Republican Muslims?

Wake up and realize this wasn't just the Republicans. It was also the Democrats.

The government has been careless with it's spending, it's grown to levels unsustainable and we're on the brink of a large scale collapse. This didn't just happen because of one party or one person. Pretty much everybody from both parties over the last 30 years or so has contributed to this and now somebody needs to come into Washington and start reeling in the spending, making the government smaller, ending this global militaristic empire we've got and start letting the free market actually work rather then putting countless restrictions on it.

Isn't this hook line and sinker the same one you used when you voted Bush in? If you have no control over the republicans you elect, why elect them again?

Yea, those damn government guns. Forcing people to be good. We call them laws. And what do we call people who don't obey those laws? We call those people "inmates".

I call them "politicians".

I love revisionist history too. Without government we wouldn't have automobiles. Without government we wouldn't have airplanes. Without government we wouldn't have houses. Without government we wouldn't have civilization. Without government we wouldn't have bunny rabbits and rainbows.

Government is a cancer because people are cancer. Good things happen in spite of it, not because of it. You think that monopolies (government) are good for the world because if we don't have some people that are pointing guns at people telling them how to spend their money, to "donate" money for space exploration, to drop bombs on school houses, then the world would be in complete chaos. You truly believe VIOLENCE is the answer and is a force for good. That's insanity. :cuckoo:

It's great the government created a law demanding Henry Ford create affordable automobiles and if he didn't we would imprison him because that's how progress is made. :cuckoo:

A black guy who is working to heal eight years of Republican excess.

What exactly has Bush 3.0 errr Obama done differently than Bush? The man is exactly the same as those before him: A tool of the people with the money, the very people you claim are horrible for the world. It'd be nice if you realized that sometime...

They don't understand freedom or true power. They dont understand the principles of natural law around us.

It's sad.

I don't support either party because both of them are corrupt which is something you should come to realize. If you think Democrats aren't corrupt then you're not paying attention. Pretty much everything either party does is catered to special interest groups. Money talks these days and that has to stop. Unfortunately it won't until this country collapses and we're forced to change.

HA! I am just carrying you to the tenth degree, as the poster stated, Paul wants you living in an Afghanistan environment. Thanks for proving his point. And how are you going to have this simple tax plan with no one to collect the taxes ~ like the IRS???? Hmmm. I bet you are a dreamy libertarian.

Based on what evidence does Paul advocate that we live in Afghanistan like conditions? You are proving MY point about you pussies that think the world will end without government running your life.

So tell us about the Revolution. Who is going to die for you? You have no power, and America is full of docile sheeples, so forge any uprising. The few who might rise up would be slaughtered, and gun confiscation would quickly follow. That part of the Paul plan, or do you people ever think ahead to the future??

Yes I am a libertarian. Can you admit to being the flaming government tit sucking liberal you are?

You obviously have some rather misguided notions about the role libertarians think government should have. Here's one clue; they are by no means advocates of no government at all. We are advocates of minimal government and strong adherence to the constitution. And not for the purpose of going back to cave man times, but for the purpose of keeping this country from falling further down this hole and hopefully having it prosper even more.

I guess someone hasnt told him that Afghanistan had a big government party a few years ago. It was called the Taliban.

Yep, not sure if Ford was a fascist or a socialist, or somewhere inbetween, but he was an inventor who brought his idea to life with the help other people's money. OoopS! Did I say OPM?? A guy who spied on his own workers when they were off the job, and had his own social department stuffed with investigators snooping into his workers private lives. Yeah, thats the kind automobile makers we need in America........LMAO!!

Oh yes, both are corrupt, and not answering to anybody.

There are two groups of Ron Paul supporters.

Group 1 - real Libertarians: Those who, like Ron, see the war on terrorism as an alibi to do something unaffordable: militarize and control the middle east (which leads to the impossible task of building a pro-American nation state where the basic ingredients for such a project don't exist). True Paul supporters understand that [things like] the Patriot Act and the Homeland Security bureaucracy (which will be greatly expanded in 2012 under the next GOP President) represent big government on steroids.

Group 2 - talk radio republicans: Those who cherry pick Paul's ideas, selecting only the small government ideas which overlap with the mainstream GOP.

(Group 2 doesn't really understand Ron Paul, they just use him as a kind of mascot)

It was Ron Paul and the CATO Intitute, not Noam Chomsky, that educated me about how the Cold War and the War on Terrorism were merely a framework for expanding America's control of global regions in ways that over-concentrated power in Washington, i.e., concentrated power in exactly the ways true libertarians fear. It was Ron Paul that helped me realize that Reagan's blessed Cold War (following all the Cold Warriors before him) made Washington bigger and more powerful than any other factor in my lifetime. Nothing concentrates power more than a nation which is standing scared behind dear leader. Ron Paul understands this.

It was Ron Paul, not Noam Chomsky, who taught me that war gives corrupt politicians the greatest access to the tax payer's wallet. [What happens when you give corrupt politicians greater access to the tax payer's wallet? Abuse] National Security (fear of death) is the quickest way to get Americans to approve spending -- big spending. War is quite a racket. And war also provides an umbrella of secrecy, making it easier to loot the treasury away from the disinfectant of sunlight. National security is a time-tested method for intimidating the Free press -- allowing power to insulate itself from the people. Point is: most GOP cheerleaders downplay or completely ignore Paul's deep criticism of the military industrial complex and the political uses of terrorism, specifically the ways war is used to concentrate power and erode freedom. Most GOP cheerleaders select only the views from Paul which are "safe".

I attended a Ron Paul talk a few years back and I'll never forget what he said: [paraphrasing slightly] "Republicans who pride themselves on not trusting government are always the first to trust what government says about war. This fact allowed George Bush to put us in a hole so deep that we may not emerge in my lifetime"

Even when Obama dramatically expanded gun rights, white wingers are screaming, "You will never take my gun".QUOTE]

May I ask how Obama expanded gun rights?

Back to the topic. What I find interesting is Paul is saying there is going to be a dramatic event that is going to jolt the country back. He is thinking its going to bring back common sense policies. The progressives are hoping to create a world government. It can go either way. All the people reading this should prepare for something down the pipe line, financially, mentally, and stock up on supplies.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that our country can't keep spending this way. If we can figure it out, then the people in DC can figure it out. Not only do they know about this crash, they are orchestrating it so they can unleash a new global government.

We have some tuff times ahead of us. If we all stay true to our principles and stick together in our communities when the time comes, then we can defeat the globalists.

You're right. Nobody can be that stupid. To just blindly spend money and think that there's not going to be any consequences is just idiotic. There has to be a method to their madness.

Some very powerful forces could be creating a super catostraphe as an excuse to create a global government. Somebody wants control and somebody wants it bad. That's really the only explanation or our government really is that stupid. I have a feeling it's the former though if it is one of the two.

But yes, if it is true then every single person in this country is going to have to stand together and fight it because everything this country has stood for is the exact opposite of what a global government would do.

Here I would disagree. Yes people can be that stupid. If individuals can spend gobs of money they don't have (i.e. massive credit card debt), so can government.

That's not revisionist. That's exactly correct. From the dawn of time, when people figured that it was very possible to bring down a Mammoth with a group of like minded indivduals around them until now where we are able to communicate instaneously with just about anyone in the world, the use of government has facilitated some great things. This whole notion that government is somehow inherently evil is completely misconstrued. Government, essentially, is what we make of it. Much like almost every other human construct.
