Ron Paul: "Successful Economic Policies? For Whom?"

Just let the economy collapse damnit!

Allow the country to fall into another depressesion.

That'll learn ya to not involve gubmunt into personal and/or business affairs.

CLASSIC!!!

So you support Paul's nihilistic view that we should have let our economy collapse?

Yes I do, it's like a wildfire, it sucks to be the undergrowth but it has to be burned off or even more damage will occur. Government intervention brought us the bubbles, more government is failing to help yet the excuse is....not enough was spent.

When it all comes down, the root cause that could have prevented the collapse was adequate regulation. We need smarter and efficacious regulation, not none. And we can't sacrifice hundreds of millions of people because someone has a brain fart that their simplistic dogma is the solution to financial instability, and that approach is to do nothing. I'm not buying it, and that mindset, more than anything else, shows why the Libertarian Party is a fringe 2% party.

Should you be posting concerning things you know nothing about beyond what celebrity talking heads spout? Banking is one of the MOST heavily regulated industries in the US. Here is a 101 for you.

Why blame one of the few who was warning people years ago that the shit was fixing to hit the fan, "gubmunt" has been at the helm for years;holding hands with corporations and other special interests.

Perhaps it's time to get mad at them instead of cursing the one on the sidelines yelling STOP THELMA AND LOUISE !!!!!CLIFF AHEAD!!!!!!

Talk about dogmatic nonsense, Paul takes the cake. What would have happened if Bush didn't do TARP and our largest financial institutions failed? Can you say depression cycle? It's amazing that he can sell this economic libertarian bullshit, and have people agreeing with him.

Depression cycle? What on earth do you think we are in?

I love how you seem to ignore the fact that were are in one already.

Rather than having a quick one. We've determined to spread it out over the next decade like the Great Depression by doing the same exact failed policies we did then.

Insanity is doing the same exact thing over and over again and yet expecting different results. There are alot of people in this nation that are insane.

Evil corporations again.

Seriously, you guys never do explain what makes corporations so evil and what makes sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, etc not evil.

Guess it's easier to attack someone who doesn't appear to have a face. If you think about all the people who work for the corporation and make a living doing fair and honest work, it would hurt your image of corporations being evil. It's kind of ridiculous, really.

A recovery cycle.

Five quarters of GDP decline, before Obama even took office, is not a "quick one". 2001, was a quick one.

As much as I wish that, we haven't begun to see what's coming our way.

We are going to go through some deflation, then insane massive inflation.

we will never know. But odds are as good as not that we would have been better off without the financial giants that refuse to lend today.

Goldbugs just don't get it.

OTOH, nobody can deny that the way the FED and banking works now is a disaster for the working man.

But the gold standard isn't the solution, either.

Good government is really the solution but that's not likely to happen as long as the Banksters control the currency.
