They're obviously "ready for the Romney chapter to be over." Romney's White House dreams might have vanished, but theirs haven't. And Romney's sour grapes "won't help the GOP's efforts to win over minority voters," especially given his earlier remark about how the "47 percent" of Americans who pay no federal income taxes were destined to vote for Obama because they're dependent on the government

These are just the players in the scandal of the week. Have we noticed a certain lack of modesty in our political figures? Thank goodness, therefore, for Mitt Romney, who in a conference call with donors said he got beat and beat bad, that his campaign was lacking, that his gut on the big issues was probably off, that he shouldn't have allowed his campaign to become (in the grandiose, faux-macho lingo of campaign consultants who wish they wore fruit salad) an air war and not a ground war, and that they were smoked in get-out-the-vote. He added, with an eye to concerns larger than his own, that he wanted to help the party analyze and define what didn't work in 2012 so it would be stronger in 2016.

Sorry. Kidding! He didn't say that.

He said the administration gave "gifts" to interest groups, and the groups appreciated the gifts, and, people being the little automatons they are, said yes, sire, and voted for him.

In a way it was as bad as the old "47%" tape. Because it was so limited.

I think what we're seeing here when the GOP complains that the youth, the women, the minorities, and even the WhiteChristian men like myself rejected them, is a perfect example of just how their HATE overwhelms their understanding of politics.


They thought they had the numbers and the organization to somehow insult most Americans and still win the election.


This is not a mistake I suspect they're going to keep making, but who knows?

The HATE WINGS of that party have enormous influence over the direction the GOP takes.

The BLUEBLOOD ARISTOS who think they OWN the GOP as their private country club mistakenly thought they could inflame the haters and welcome them into their party, use their votes, and then ignore them when the GOP assumed power.

They were very very wrong about that.

Obviously the TEA PARTY showed them that once you get into bed with the KNOW-Nothings they're not so easily to kicked out.

So now the GOP has to deal with the NAZIs, the KLANNER, the LIBERTOPIANS, and various other hate groups who have become part of their fold.

I ALMOST feel sorry for the ARISTO GOPers who now have to figure out how to continue to get the votes of the haters without also tipping their hand about who those haters hate at the same time.

A lot of his voters aren't worth much more as humans than what it cost Obama to buy their votes. Tyrants and despots are like that.

Actually, the company pissed on the bakers.

They said, "Take these cuts as part of the 2004 bankruptcy, and we'll fix the company".

Instead, they looted it, paid themselves big bonuses, and these workers found themselves working twice as hard for less money with outdated equipment.

That was the "future" Romney offered, and America said, "No, thank you."
