Probably trying to avoid US taxes. How does that compare with a Presidential candidate and current US Senator parking his boat in a neigboring state to avoid taxes while advocating everyone else needs to pay more taxes? At least Romney is consistent on this one.

FOr the 87th time... it ws NOT Romney's boat... so he was not trying to avoid anything, as he does not OWN it.

A donor registers his yacht outside the U.S. for perfectly good and legal reasons, to avoid hideous taxes and other governmental bureaucratic b.s. And from the tax angle at least, the very same reason former Dimocrat presidential candidate John F. Kerry-Heinz parked his yacht in RI instead of his home state of MA.
