Investing money in financial institutions overseas has advantages from an international investment standpoiint....not from an income tax/capital gains standpoint.
Nowadays, one must denounce their US citizenship to avoid paying income and capital gains taxes...it is not as easy as putting the money in a Swiss bank account. As I said, those days ended three decades ago.

Tax loopholes were found to be gaming the game. That is why they were eliminated. Tax" advantages", however, are not loopholes. They are incentives.
