As president, Romney said, he’d work with U.S. partners to arm insurgents in Syria, make aid to Egypt conditional on the development of democratic institutions -- as well as peace with Israel......

In promising to arm the “Syrian” insurgents – the majority of whom are not even Syrian – Romney has pledged to send taxpayer money to al-Qaeda militants who have been responsible for carrying out terrorist attacks which have killed hundreds of people.

So Obama actually is arming Al Qaeda, but your claiming Romney is vowing to and you have issues with that?

That's not what Romney said.
He said he wants to arm the people of Syria who wants to overthrow their dictator.
He said that we need to make sure who the people are that we give arms to and make sure that they are not jihad terrorists.

This JUST in...

Romney has vowed to toss puppies into rush hour traffic.

Yeeeaaaahhhh....give us a link on that.

Oh so more people are unaware of Obama providing weapons to the Libyan rebels, rebels who include Al Qaeda?

You know, the weapons our ambassador was likely killed with and killed about.

I would also like to see a link for Avatar4321's zany assertion.

Zany?

The United States is not sending arms directly to the Syrian opposition. Instead, it is providing intelligence and other support for shipments of secondhand light weapons like rifles and grenades into Syria, mainly orchestrated from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The reports indicate that the shipments organized from Qatar, in particular, are largely going to hard-line Islamists.

The assessment of the arms flows comes at a crucial time for Mr. Obama, in the closing weeks of the election campaign with two debates looming that will focus on his foreign policy record. But it also calls into question the Syria strategy laid out by Mitt Romney, his Republican challenger.
