Mitt Romney has got an uphill battle to fight in the next few months.

CONservatives are holding onto this pipedream that the American public is going to care about the issues that THEY like to harp (incessantly) about.

The national debt
Obama's stimulus plan
So called "Socialism"
The Affordable Care Act
Supreme Court activism
Abortion

and so on.....

At the end of the day though this November voters are going to vote their pocketbooks. It's all about jobs and personal security and Romney just doesn't have a very good track record of putting people before profits.

The slaughter has already begun

The US Has One Million Fewer Workers Under Obama’s Watch | The Lonely Conservative

Obama is about Empowerment at the cost of the whole population. Sometimes Bankruptcy is the right plan, in order to restructure a failing business plan. He would rather hide that truth, and protect corrupt Union Interests, no matter how unfair or unreasonable. Maybe we should work harder to remove corrupt Union entanglement from both Government and the Private Sector. Can't get the truth out of them. Cover up after cover up, it is the ugly truth.

That argument simply will not resonate with the voting public. If anything being a union buster will further hurt Romney's cause.

On a gut level everybody knows that unions keep corporations in check and ensure that American workers are treated as human beings and not sweat shop slave labor.

Even though it's only partly true most people, with the exception of pro industry CONservatives, view unions as a necessary evil. When a corporate tycoon like Romney lists union busting activity as an accomplishment the public views that as anti worker.

Fits perfectly with the slogan "MITT ROMNEY....JOB KILLER!"

And Obama's track record of putting people before politics?

Obama's utopia requires no business climate, that's why he continues to destroy it.

Nope.

That one won't work either.

The "trickle down economics" bullshit just doesn't fly anymore. There is too much evidence now showing that tax breaks at the top never "trickle" anywhere except into the pockets of the people who get the tax breaks and incentives.

There's no "destroying the business climate" involved in demanding that businesses and corporations conduct themselves in certain ways.

People are tired of greedy people whining because they just can't have it all!

That is Obama's message and in these tough times it is just what people want to hear.

Just so you know:

1. Every member of the Obama administration’s initial economics team has already left the White House and moved on after failing the American people.

2. All of them were academics and theorists who had never worked in the private sector economy each of them claimed to be experts on.

3. Had the hand picked team of Obama economists studied history they would have learned volumes from the Kennedy and Reagan administrations that relied on tax cuts instead of stimulus spending. Tax cuts are a proven solution because they let people keep more of their earnings. When people have more money they can spend more, invest more, and save more; the level of economic participation increases and the economy grows.

4. Once Mitt Romney's tax cuts have been put into place the results will be predictable and manageable. Just like the tax cuts of John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, government revenue from taxes will be decreased for the short term and the deficit will increase for a brief period. The increase in economic activity will cause the economy to heat up, more workers will be needed, and more people will return to work.

5. More workers will increase the number of tax payers, which will significantly increase government revenue. Millions of new workers, each paying taxes, will create trillions in revenue to reduce the deficit and make balancing the Federal budget easier to do. Mitt Romney understands that nothing is better for reducing the deficit than a robust economy.

It is nothing short of amazing that the Left can spin that high taxes and high regulation create economic growth. But it isnt just here. France elected a guy who basically promises free money. Free money will make the economy grow. Just watch.

Well, for eight years George W. Bush gave tax breaks to the wealthy and deregulated to the point where the housing market and banking system melted down completely.

As evidenced by our economy today that didn't create economic growth either did it?

Bush gave tax breaks to everyone. Even people who don't pay taxes.
There was no deregulation under Bush.
But keep repeating Leftist fantasies. It shows what an idiot you are. Well, that and zero rep after hundreds of posts.

I think the ads misleading but let us say that they are absolutely correct. Is Romney's history worse then Obama's? I don't think so. Romney was at least successful in creating a company that did create jobs, whether you want to believe Obama or not and he was successful with the Olympics. Obama has yet to prove he has been successful in anything other then shoving Obamacare down our throat and being elected. So if the electorate vote their pocket book, or more importantly our grandchildren's pocketbook, then Obama is out regardless of whom runs against him. How do you reward an 8 percent unemployment rate for 23 months with the massive debt that was suppose to fix that problem? We can't.

I am not wealthy and I remember getting money back and tax cuts for me. What I also remember is when Bush did that the economy did recover, unlike what we see with Obama's massive debt put on our children.

What exactly did Bush deregulate? I see you say the housing industry, sorry that was all the democrats. Bush warned that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac policies driven by Barney Frank and others was going to cause a bubble to burst and it did. The regulators were laughed at and mocked by the democrats when warned. Now you want to blame Bush for what the democrats did? I hope the American people are not that ill-informed.

Government is Good - Stealth Deregulation: The Untold Story

Cheney?s Culture of Deregulation and Corruption

But it looks like Bush and Clinton can share some of the blame for this.

But the evidence is overwhelming that this economic downslide did not begin with Obama. It is the result of decades of failed government policy and Obama can point to that as evidence of why he shouldn't be blamed for any of it and most certainly for not being able to fix it in four short years.
