Romney: No need to detail how I’ll pay for massive tax cuts. Just trust me.

It makes me laugh how the left, who voted for Obama in their droves... and who had no detailed plans, no experience, nothing except pretty speeches to go on... and that was smart. Now, suddenly, they need 'details'.

The double standards of liberals is very funny.

Romney won't detail his plan because the only way his 'plan' would work is if there were to be enormous, draconian, politically suicidal cuts in

Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

If Romney were to be honest about his plan, he might as well preface it by saying,

...these are reasons I don't want to be president...

McCain wouldn't have done anything.

And Romney is trying to do all the wrong things.

Now why didn't you say, it makes you laugh how the right, who attacked Obama and the Democrats for months on the charge they didn't have a 'plan'

now could care less that Romney doesn't have one.

Eh? Other than that you're a partisan hack...

Exactly.

We'll just end up like Greece or something with economic inequality spiraling out of control and benefits going out of the window faster than a rock dropping to the ground.

There are no guarantees when it comes to taxes and economic development. But without abundant natural resources or heavy tourism or the generosity of a neighbor, no state in the United States has been able to sustain high prosperity without a robust tax base. The data speaks clearly on this point. Let's trust it.

Do Lower Taxes Create Jobs? Let’s Look at the States

Oh for Shame! Instead of posting actual data you post an "opinion" piece written by a Socialist propaganda spewing whack job....how quaint......

Obama had nothing. And that was fine with the left. So screaming for 'details' with Romney is more than a tad ridiculous.

It's what I call the tax cut death spiral. The Republicans invented it, and to be clear, more and more Democrats have gotten sucked into it over time. That's what makes it a death spiral.

It's premised on the simple facts that politicians are expected to solve problems in the economy, but politicians also have a keen sense of survival, so the only kind of 'problem solving' politicians want to do is the kind that will also sell politically.

That's how cutting taxes came to be the universal go-to miracle cure for all our economic ills.

You convince the people that cutting taxes (an easy political sell) will magically make everything better. You blather on a bit about cutting the size of government, but since that is not politically popular, you take care not to do much more than talk about it.

The deficits and debt grow and grow, and all sorts of crying and moaning goes on about that, but in the meantime, most people are too happy enjoying the free lunch of the tax cuts to really care about those problems.

You can't just walk right in with a plan and expect to rule with an iron fist, you have to asses whats going on, first.

There are things that presidents have to delegate while in office that are sensitive and recieve no public attention, but are yet very important.
You must work with Congress on legal, political, and financial matters. They are the ones who have the final say.
And you must do the same with international communities.

Romney's plan: Tax cuts for the rich, cuts for benefits for millions, and expand on war.
Obviously thats the answer, while we struggle to achieve economic equality and financial stability.

What will he do when he can't do all the things he promised since he doesn't have the power to do so? Just circlejerk his political investors who sponsored him as a presidential candidate.

Well, look at it from another perspective. What about employees for the state such as teachers, firefighters, police, etc? They will be out of jobs which will just lead to increased unemployment and it could get worse.

Should we cut taxes and save our pocket change at the risk of Education, Crime Rates, Emergency Response and Increased Unemployment? No.

14,500 teachers, cops, and firefighters were laid off when Romney was governor.

Tax breaks for the rich won't solve our problem. If they can't generate revenue, then how will they make the national debt go down?
Why does the left think every gov't employee is a cop, teacher or firefighter?

Because those are the positions which gather the most sympathy for their pro Public Union causes.

So you blithely ignore the right's hypocrisy on this.

Yup. Hope and change carried the day.

The sad thing is that most of his supporters think he's doing a good job. Apparantly the UE numbers and the crappy economy don't seem to mean much. I mean with another 4yrs he'll get er done.

Of course he stated that if he couldn't get er done in one term than he didn't deserve another.

I think we should hold him to his word.

First of all, it's a proven fact that anyone who releases any details comes under attack.

Secondly, I think it would be important for the person in the Oval Office to release his plan, wouldn't it? I mean his job is to fix this shit, isn't it? It's already been proved that taxing the rich isn't gonna scratch the surface. Obama needs to show us his plan......not sit back and make fun of the opposition's plans. But that's all he ever does. He's a pro at being a smart-ass, talking smack about his opponent, but never coming up with real solutions himself.

Thirdly, it doesn't matter who is in charge. The damage that has been done is going to require severe measures and the sooner we start the better. However, it's clear Obama has no intention of doing anything about the debt.....at least not before the election. That is a piss-poor statement on his presidency.

Here's the situation; Regardless who wins cuts are going to effect everyone. Once Obama has 4 more years he's gonna raise our taxes, cut the military, claim that many of his promises were a bit too ambitious. He's going to do some really unpopular things. He has to. You're gonna discover new taxes in your pay-stub that weren't there before. He will allow the Bush tax-cuts to expire and he will institute a new tax on top of the already wired in increases. He will tax us on his health care program whether the supremes rule it unconstitutional or not because that is another legal battle in itself. Obama's plan is across the board tax increases......that's it.

If Romney wins cuts will come. Course he won't care if people are pissed about it because he knows they have to be done or Social Security and Medicare will fail. The government will have to make deep cuts. The media will attempt to crucify him. Obama will go on a speaking tour telling everyone how right he was about Romney. However, we will be in much better hands than with the current WH resident.

Who are you kidding? People like you wouldn't be voting for President Obama if UE were down to 4%.

Romney wants to cut everyone's taxes by 20% and increase spending on the military, for starters. That creates its own deficit right there, before he's even gotten to the current deficit.

Now he has 2 deficits to pay for with cuts. Where do those cuts come from?

Romney: No need to detail how I’ll pay for massive tax cuts. Just trust me. - The Plum Line - The Washington Post

There’s a great deal to chew on in Mitt Romney’s interview with Bob Schieffer, which just aired on CBS.

Romney repeatedly refused to say whether he’d repeal Obama’s order to halt deportations of DREAM-eligible youth. He confirmed that he would not agree to even one dollar in new revenues in exchange for 10 dollars in spending cuts. And he again reiterated that his response to the crisis would be to cut government, in order to “ignite growth,” even though economists say that more austerity now would make the crisis worse.

here's the truth,, he'll be a damn sight better than the currernt asswipe.

LOL, I can't believe how stupid you people are.
All you do is listen and blindly follow instead of asses and learn.

Not happy? You won't even think about how it could be worse if we made other choices and you refuse to learn from the mistakes from others.

None of us deserve Democracy because we are too fucking stupid. It's astounding at how much political ignorance there is and all you happen to do is spread the stupidity.
