Romney needs to get to his act in gear

Forget about 15% real unemployment - maybe an economy worese than The Great Depression.

Romney is running a Bob Dole, John McCain type of campaign.

Needs to get off his duff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The GOP candidates like Dole, McCain just too goddamn freaking polite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

that loses elections to the likes of Clinton and Oboma........................

I like what he's doing.

We're in the dead zone right now. He's not in any danger. All polls have him neck and neck with Obama all within margin of error (including almost all the lib polls except for Bloomberg which is so out to lunch I can't describe it).

I hope he keeps it up and does a Santorum and hits the bbq circuit and breakfast diners across the land.

Romney's camp is playing it smart. I understand the frustration. You want the fight here and now. But the key in strategy is September. Then one hits it.

Dole/Kemp ticket was a throw away. There was no beating Clinton. Being honest here. Now McCain/Palin was doomed from almost the get go because Schmidt only and I mean only cared about himself.

The 2008 wasn't about electing McCain to office to this man, it was all about Steve. We can go thousands of pages on Steve Schmidt if you want. I personally would love to have 10 minutes in a room with him with no video cameras present over what he did to Palin.

Who will Romney chose as his VP running mate?

My choice would be Christie.

Not a very balanced pick - since both are from the same region.

However - I think Christie could jump-start Romneys campaign with his common-man style.

Sometimes I think pres candidates overthink their VP choice.

That's an interesting choice. I'd take Jindal in a heartbeat. That's my druthers, but I like Christie too.

Hey, bright side, we have so many good choices out there. :D

Would like to see Christie but he is not running nor would he accept the offer. He has said as much.

As for alternatives, I really do not care. I do not vote for the VP. I vote for the one in charge.

Excellent hand-wringing demonstration, folks!

I love the idea that Romney is going to get his ass handed to him because " he is too damned nice". What amazing perception you get from those dopey rabbit ears of yours.

Trailing in all of the battleground states

what does he need to do????

Theres nothing he can do except hope the President stumbles. Badly.

The reason he has fallen out of public sight pretty much and the reason he barely says anything except the stump speech (the thesis of which is "Obama is bad") is because he cannot do anything since now people are listening for the flip-flops. His positions haven't captured the imagination of the voters and now he can't tweak them given his past lineage of flipping and flopping all over the place.

It's instructive that a fellow Republican or a fellow Republican's supporters put that video out. Yeeow!

He needs a game changer; no doubt. It doesn't necessarily need to be a person; perhaps an outside issue to come up accidentally/on purpose. The problem is that he's been running for office for 10 years now and he has staked out a position on most of the issues that could come up. He can't pivot from any of them.

"Designed by East German scientists to be the perfect android politician"....Yeeow X 2.

Vice President? I'd be happy to see him pick Dr. Rice. But even there he has a problem. She's waaaaaay more qualified than he is for President. You don't want the #2 to overshadow the #1. Selling that is going to be a problem. As much as he needs a game changer, it may be his last and only hope to move the needle on his own. A safer political choice for him would be to pick a "strong and steady" governor/senator from the midwest but I doubt he can find one who can stomach him. Perhaps go totally off the boards and fill the #2 slot with a moderate Democrat?

hammer Obama on his record..........................

and his socialist agenda

Christie lost me when he had the NJ flag lowered half-mast for Whitney Houston.....
In my opinion...lowering the flag is in honor of a "hero", someone that has lost their life for our country. Not a movie star/singer that was a drug addict. Sorry, i liked her music, but she was no hero.

What a retarded,shallow reason.

We all have advice for Romney.

Personally I'd like Rubio or Jindal as VP

I'd like the campaign to be about Freedom and how a Free Society will lead to full employment

Free Markets including voucher Medicare/caid and Medical Savings Accounts will drop the cost of healthcare. Let the states innovate ways to cover PEC.
