Romney Just Lost the Embassy Talking Point

The American people agree...they are very offended to have been misled by Obama and team, and see it for what it is...playing politics.

Presidential Debate 2012: Live Updates From Barack Obama-Mitt Romney Showdown

"The suggestion that anybody in my team, the secretary of State, the UN Ambassador [Susan Rice] -- anybody on my team -- would play politics or mislead when we lost four people on our team is offensive."

The state dept. watched the attack in real time, yet 5 days later on 5 Sunday shows, nope it was a protest over the video, 13 days later at the UN? Obama blaming a video, letterman, the view , same same.....please

Spin it how you wish, but in the context of the debate, Obama clearly won that exchange.

Just cause he said the word terror does not mean he called the attack terrorism...... Context is a very important thing.

How can an "exchange" be clearly won, clearly premised with a failure?

The exchange was clearly won by Obama because he clarified the escense of the matter by telling Romney that to politicize the deaths of four people he was responsible for was offensive....which it is. Your continuation of that politicization is the offense he was refering to.

The facts of the event were made more clear as the two weeks unfolded. There is nothing odd about associating the atttack at Bengazi with the riots all through North Africa immediately previous to that terrorist attack. It took a few days to sort it out. That's just the way things unfold sometimes. To act like Obama was negligent is outrageous.

The bad guys were the terrorists that took advantage of the confusion of the riots to perpetrate their plan. Blaming Obama for this attack is sick. He said he will keep after these terrorists and make them pay. End of story. That is unless YOU support the terrorists because you think it gives you something to blame on Obama.

And, unlike Bin Laden who got a free seven years under Bush, they will be looking over their shoulders constantly. Whether by Marines, Seals, CIA operatives, or drones, their lives are now forfiet. This President goes after people that kill Americans. Had he been in office when that Marine barracks was bombed in Lebenon, there would be no Hezbolah today.

Why is it "offensive" to simply point out the truth?

President Obama misled the American people...for political reasons...over what happened in Bengazi. THAT is what is offensive!

Take a shot at it give it a try

why did Rice say what she did and not a word from the WH to correct her??

Susan Rice didn't got out that Sunday morning and hit those 5 Sunday news shows and give the same speech on her own...she was sent by the Obama Administration to project the narrative that they were selling. Why would the White House correct the message that they wanted put out?

A more accurate description after Bengazi would be that...this President's ineptness gets Americans killed and THEN he has to go after the people that did it. How about if we put someone in the Oval Office that has a clue in the first place?

That inneptness of which you speak was the republicans in congress denying the state department half a billion in funds to beef up foriegn service security. The president does not authorize spending. BTW.. your post shows your inneptness in understanding how government works.

Good arguement, Hugs.

But I see Obama's statements as ex post facto, with a smidge of backpeddling thrown in for good majeuer.

The President of the U.S. is expected- no, entrusted, with being "eyes and ears" at the uppermost- without the benefit of a few day's (not to mention an entire week) of allowance for sorting out.

Obama was out to lunch. Hell, there ain't nothing in that guy's bucket to begin with.

He was elected on symbolism alone, and he's presided upon this country with just as much.

He's a shell of a President playing a shell game with the lives of of over 300 million Americans. He has proven himself a failure. For the past 3-1/2 years, as well as tonight.

You are as clueless as Obama. Those people celebrate death. Killing them is like throwing candy to kids.

What do liberals call it when other liberals call out conservative policy failures? Telling the truth.

What do liberals call it when conservatives call out liberal policy failures? politicizing a tragedy.
