I don't get why people here think that Romney is not going to try to overturn obamacare. They tend to say that it's because of romneycare in Mass. But as the elected Gov of a state, aren't you supposed to do as those that elected you want? Even if it's against your personal beliefs?
The situation is almost exactly like obamacare only reversed. Romney had to go with what the people wanted in Mass and give them the healthcare that they wanted. Whereas Obama went against what the people wanted and gave us healthcare we didn't want.
It's not really about the merits of the two laws (either that Mass law or the ACA) ... It's about elected officials doing what the people that put them there want them to do. In romneys case it's clear what we are putting him in office to do.
Why would he not do it?
