Romney and GOP in Panic After Unemployment drops to 7.8%

Why would anyone panic over a 16% unemployment number?

It makes Me sad.

“This is not what a real recovery looks like. We created fewer jobs in September than in August, and fewer jobs in August than in July, and we’ve lost over 600,000 manufacturing jobs since President Obama took office. If not for all the people who have simply dropped out of the labor force, the real unemployment rate would be closer to 11%. The results of President Obama's failed policies are staggering – 23 million Americans struggling for work, nearly one in six living in poverty and 47 million people dependent on food stamps to feed themselves and their families. The choice in this election is clear. Under President Obama, we’ll get another four years like the last four years. If I’m elected, we will have a real recovery with pro-growth policies that will create 12 million new jobs and rising incomes for everyone.”

You really want to brag about a rate of 7.8? Really? Have you honestly accepted Obama's lowering of the bar that much? God help our nation.

So the unemployment rate is suddenly….amazingly…..wonderfully down to 7.8%?

800,000 people would have had to go back to work last week to lower the rate that much, but the same report also says that 114,000 jobs were created. (And a large chunk of those were new government jobs.)

And the work force has not increased any?

359,000 new unemployment claims were filed the week ending September 22.

367,000 new unemployment claims were filed the week ending September 29.

Does anybody really think the unemployment claims report for the week ending today will look much, if any better?

What was it that Obama said about Romney’s math not adding up? Only the most foolish of fools would believe that this new unemployment number is anything other than creative math for political purposes. Early voting has already started in some swing states.

The so called unemployment figures from the government are an average some places are much higher than 11%. When you drop off the written records because you no longer get unemployment or quit looking for the imaginary job, you are no longer counted. Figures can be manipulated, the government just proved it.

Don't even try to spin this liberals. It's as reliable as Obama's Nobel
Peace prize.

By the way--what did Obama win the Nobel prize for. Its been 4 years and I still can't find out!!:confused

114,000 new jobs in addition to the recently adjusted numbers for July and August

Good news for America/Bad news for those rooting for the economy to fail

This is bad news for America because it's a lie... If you feel lying is good for our country then that's very sad to see. Maybe you should consider not being a hyper partisan for a change.

You know.....

Sooner or later the American Peope are going to label the Republican Party as the Party that cried wolf

Every number that goes against them is called a LIE

Unemployment figures
Poll data
Scientific research
Historical data

Republicans are gettin a reputation where even birthers seem reasonable

I'm not a Republican you stupid twat.

Historical data and scientific research don't go against anything republicans say btw, you just say that because you’re a Troll who is neither a scientist nor a historian. All you do is find some tiny bit of information you agree with and paste it as if it's the only logical information available.

Hence, RW = hyper partisan troll.

Actually, if you go digging, the real unemployment number is closer to 15%. It is some better in some states, some worse in others.

But yeah. I think only the most gullible cultist believes that 7.8% number.

You make enough people give up on finding a job and boom, the unemployment rate goes down! And then the liberals all hold hands and sing about how wonderful he is.

Wow, how do I get that job! :dunno:

It requires a "willful suspension of disbelief".....

Care to explain to us all how adding 114,000 Jobs brings UE from 8.1% to 7.8%? Must be Obama Math.

You can bet your first Born The Number will be quietly Revised up just before the election, when the next Bogus Report Comes out.

This is perhaps the most Transparent attempt to manipulate the UE report to try and help Obama we have seen yet.

Since when is 7.8 something to celebrate?

When it has dropped from 10.2%

Now when Bush saw his unemployment rate rise from 4.2% to 7.8%, THAT was no reason to celebrate

I guess it is just a matter of perspective

Wow, how do I get that job! :dunno:

The three things Bush was most damned for: 1) Lying so that he could single handedly take us into an illegal war; 2) Reckless spending that erased the Clinton budget surplus; 3) Losing a gazillion jobs.

But to his worshippers, His Radiance seems immune to criticism on any of those things, and if they can point to ANYTHING, however slight, that shows any improvement, then of course it was His Worship's own magnificence that gave us that great gift. Even if the 'gift' was manufactured or manipulated or made up.

Can we just rewind a few decades and start over?
