Actually, that's nothing new. I have this image on file from 2011, and I think others go back earlier.

But the Israeli pictures have cleverly erased all evidence of the Palestinians.

The satellites circled the moon more than 50 years ago, so the photographs of the dark side are not surprising.
By the way, the first robots on the moon were Soviet.
