Too small to see. Whatcha got? And what is your favorite if you had to just pick ONE to keep?

Diamonds are not this girls best friend. Opals are. They are magnificent with the colors.

I found a lapiz out in the back yard yesterday. BIG one. Raw. At least, I think its lapiz. Its a pretty dark blue. But I thought Lapiz was from africa? Not an expert..I just grab rocks that I think are pretty. Lots of serpentine around here too. LOTS. But I read somewhere that that is what asbestos is made from...so I haven't brought any of that in the house for my small rock collection.

Oh, and I have a carved frog, made entirely of tiger eye. It is about 3 inches long and 1 inch tall. Got it at a yard sale some years ago.

Labrodorite...another stone that is similar in color crazy like opals

Ah. Moonstone. You can get these right on the beach at Moonstone Beach in Cambria, Calif.
Unpolished, of course...unless you count it being so with the waves crashing on it and tumbling it with other rocks.
