Disengenious indeed. Neither party wants to control the borders. For different reasons but it is the same effect. Neither party wants to punish business that hire illegal aliens, again for different reasons but AGAIN it is the same effect. 8 Years of Clinton saw millions enter this Country illegally and 8 years of Bush continued the trend. The difference is over the last 4 years we had started to punish business again and had started to take immigration laws serious. Not because the politicians had changed their minds but because the voters had scared them into some basic attempts to pretend to care.

Any local Government that tries to shield or protect illegals should be cut off from all Government funds at the federal level. ALL funds. If they continue or impede the enforcement of the FEDERAL laws they should be arrested and tried for violating Federal laws and abuse of their elected positions.

Any church that claims sanctuary should be warned that in THIS country religion does not make nor control the laws and they WILL obey them. The Government should NEVER recognize any claim to sanctuary from any local Government or any private group.

I do not see any change this election though. No one is talking at all about illegals. NEITHER party.

The AP reported yesterday that illegals are heading back over the borders because our economy is terrible along with some legal hispanic residents. They can't find business either and feel they have a better chance in Mexico probably since we have let our corporations build their factories in Mexico!

Dive this young man had a young wife and 3 month old at home and it seems the person that killed this young man had 4 warrants according to local news here. Now, I am not of the round them up and send them back type, but you know it seems to me that to simply sit back and do nothing at all and pay lip service to this group or that group without addressing the issue is a terrible crime. The elected officials who have done this for so long should go to this young widows home and explain to her why?

Well, it's obvious to me they don't care about this young widow or her children, just as Gavin Newsome dosen't give a fig about the woman in SF whose husband and two sons were murdered on the streets by a protected illegal drug smuggler with a rap sheet as long as your arm. But the fact is that rounding them up is costly by virtue of the logistics... They sinple fact is we'll never stop it completely... but we can stop the VAST majority of it by just ENFORCING THE DAMN LAW! Beyond that, they've come because the socil programs make it easy to be here illegally.

The border has ALWAYS been open and we never had an immigration problem until the end of the 1960s... in the wake of "The Great Society." Of course it exploded in the 1990s when the Clinton regime wanted to use illegals to prop up the political support for the ideological left and so on.

As I see it, IF the US could find the cultural courage to stop pandering to the idiots on the left and in so doing stop prmoting illegal immigration by subsidizing those who LIVE HERE ILLEGALLY AND if the US would NOT give citizenship to babies born to illegal mothers who reside in the US... that would knock illegal immigration down to its absolute minimum.

Now to do that, the US will have to have a cultural enema and rid itself of the toxic effects of leftism... but its doable and besides we could ue to lose the dead weight anyhow...
