Second, Obama won in 2008 because the economy crashed with Republicans at the wheel.

I voted for McCain. Knew he was a horrible candidate, but voted for him anyway because there weren't any better choices.

I won't vote for Romney. Don't like him, his crazy religion, his slimey business practices, or his attempts to snooker me into believing he's really a conservative when he's been a liberal all his life.

If the GOP can't win selling conservatism then maybe it doesn't deserve to win.

Romney- Made himself millions screwing over working folks.

McCain- Reliable conservative with an 83% ACU record.
Romney- Has taken both sides of every issue.

McCain- Nice, sensible Episcopalian.
Romney- Thinks he's wearing Magic Underpants, going to be a God on his own spirit world.

McCain- Won his Senate seat several times.
Romney- Lost to Ted Kennedy. Chickened out of a fight with Devall Patrick, lost to John McCain and Mike Huckabee. Actually did beat a non entity named Jan Swift once.

McCain- Has stood by his principles.
Romney - Says whatever his pollsters think the voters want to hear.

McCain- Voted for him.
ROmney- Not in a million years.

This makes no sense, as the evidence is clear that for the last 57 years progressives have fought against government excess and overreach and for individual liberty. From segregation to due process violations by state and local governments, progressives have fought against conservative efforts to expand government intrusion into our lives.

It has nothing to do with ‘saving babies,’ it has to do with the right to privacy and individual liberty, where people make decisions about their personal lives without interference from the state.

Abortion is a social, not political or legal, issue; there are no quick or easy solutions. Abortions will continue if banned, and our civil liberties will be that much more eroded.
