Rightwingers have a totally fucked view on capitalism

Seems to me it is your view that is totally fucked. I am in business and NO ONE but my help and my customers and suppliers should benefit from the fruits of my labor.

Everyone else can go jump in the river for all I care. Want what I have? Earn it

All of society benefits when a business is successful in an honest and competitive fashion.

I agree with you there.

Only regulation can kep things competitive, otherewise a lot of people are going to be put out of work via underhanded tactics.

The colonists tried your method in the 1600's and it failed. Another flailing thread.

Yeah the American colonies were total failures.

Almost.....

As William Bradford recorded in his Of Plymouth Plantation, a people who had formerly been known for their virtue and hard work became lazy and unproductive. Resources were squandered, vegetables were allowed to rot on the ground and mass starvation was the result. And where there is starvation, there is plague. After 2 1/2 years, the leaders of the colony decided to abandon their socialist mandate and create a system which honored private property. The colony survived and thrived and the abundance which resulted was what was celebrated at that iconic Thanksgiving feast.

Forbes article

We have a Walmart here in the suburb I live in. And just a few blocks away are a ton of mom and pop shops that sell all the same type of shit.

If you can't compete then you don't belong in business. I suspect you all hate walmart because they are non union.

Cry more

So you support big businesses driving out mom and pop stores who cater to a community and provide jobs and better treatment? That goes against capitalism.

Capitalism was never supposed to be this unrestricted, hands off economic philosophy where people are allowed to each up and destroy one another and call it competition, it was supposed to be a philosophy where businesses benefit the people and everyone proportionally enjoys the benefits, its never supposed to unfairly benefit the businesses. Learn capitalism 101.

What's your view on capitalism?

Answer my question.

Definition of "Capitalism" is based on experiences which obviously you have had a bad experience.
You are obviously typing on a capitalism device, using a capitalist connection to voice your observation.

I'm not using a "capitalist connection". Unless you consider a monopoly to be "capitalism"

You have no alternate internet service provider in New Orleans? I find that impossible to believe. Do you post over an obamaphone?

Says who, commie?

Find me a society where hands off capitalism created a perfect economic heaven. sqyashing the little man and small businesses goes against capitalism because small businesses employs more people, dipshit.

Fuck you. Answer the question.

How about you RESPOND to my post rather than PROJECTING.

I don't want to see anyone go out of business but if I'm faced with paying 50 bucks for a product at walmart vs 75 bucks for the same product at moms store then mom better get her shit together or she will be out of business.

Is it your opinion that right wingers hate all regulation of the free market, including truth in labeling laws and health and safety laws?

I wouldn't say they're against every single regulation but i don't feel they're disillusioned for believing less regulation or as little as possible is the best outcome, its the best for business but not for the people.

If left to their own devices, there are unscrupulous people who will dump their poisonous leavings in empty lots and into our water supply. Others will poison the air we breathe.

They will also poison our food and commit fraud on a wide scale. A simple examination of our history suffices as evidence of this.

If it does not, then one only has to visit the nearest homeopathic vendor. One will find scores of unregulated fraudulent devices and snake oils. Or perhaps a visit to the local reiki practitioner or psychic will do.

We are human beings and human beings will exploit other human beings.

On the other hand, government is also made of human beings. And those humans beings accept swag and golfing trips and banquets and campaign cash from businessmen. And the next thing you know, the regulatory field has been legislatively tilted in the favor of some at the disadvantage of others. Competitors are locked out of the playing field by burdensome obstacles to commerce.

And then we see what has happened on Wall Street, where complete fuckups and retards have such a hold on power they are not allowed to fail. Wiser and smarter businessmen are not allowed to pick up the pieces and use their best practices to straighten out our economy. Instead, the frauds and psychopaths are allowed to continue to prey on the common man at will. The thief is given police protection while he robs you blind.

There is a need for regulation, but a proper and balanced one. Not this bastardized oligarchical monstrosity we have now.

The computers used capitalism to put typewriters out of business.

If you think that competition was not supposed to force other businesses out of business then you know nothing of capitalism. A good course in economics might help you. Emphasis on the "good" of course, liberal economics will just make you even more ignorant.

New technology is a part of capitalism dumbass but comparing computers to typewriters isn't a real comparison, try comparing Microsoft to Apple.

Try comparing Royal to IBM.

If you compare Wal Mart to the little mom and pop junk store, you have done the same thing. Wal Mart obviously has a better business model. Anyone put out of business by Wal Mart deserved to go out of business.

So you are at a library or a free internet hot spot..
EITHER one is paying for you from the TAXES paid by capitalists or expensed by the capitalist provider!
So YOU are a free loader as Pelosi calls people like you!

Flaylo is a coward.

Capitalism has not been unrestricted in any of our lifetimes so wtf are you talking about?

Competition is an important segment of capitalism, but one of the goals of many businesses is to destroy their competion and have the market to themselves. The very thing that makes capitalism the great economic system that it is, also has the seeds of its own destruction.
The first major law to keep capitalism, capitalism was introduced by Republican, John Sherman. As fast as government passed laws keeping capitalism alive, others were creating way to destroy competition creating more need to pass laws.
